1. Still not a single rear USB for neat connectivity and expandability.

2. Eject button has full-retard placement right UNDER the slot. If you press it, aren't sure you clicked it, and spend more than half a second on it, that disc is gonna hit your finger.

3. Spread our front USBs. WUT

4. You still can't add storage to the console, merely replace it, and due to placement of bay, stand-alone, mountable add-ons such as the Nyko 3.5 inch adapter are an impossibility now.

Not to mention that it looks like a slanted Apple Airport Extreme last gen. The competition, the One S, only did one thing wrong in its redesign, the stupid left front USB, here it should have been right.

the Xbox One S looks a little better than the Slim PS4 but it's significantly larger. Even the launch PS4 is smaller than the Xbox One S.

This actually bothers me, the light bar is one of the defining features of the regular PS4 hardware. I get that the slim is a cost-cutting effort but last-gen when Sony made a cost-cutting slim it actually looked better than the regular PS3.

I saw the video of the unboxing and the dimensions are practically the same in every way except it's a bit thinner. so in comparison to the 40% thing with xbox one s this is just a thiner ps4 with curved corners.

it's objectively the worse design for a ps4 considering people are expecting the neo's announcement around the same time the official announcement for the slims. if they're launching at the same relative time then the slim is basically a waste.

I hate sony and have firmly believed that they have never been able to make a product actually worth the money 9 times out of 10, the exceptions to this rule are so miniscule that it doesn't even exist really, I have hated sony for like 2 decades now seriously. In saying that, I've also been convinced since the ps2 that no one at sony knows what they are doing design wise for systems, actually no one in the game industry has any idea design wise nowadays for hardware to be brutally honest.

I don't even have a major complain about the overall design of the new system.
