I was re FFIX with the Steam "HD" release and I'm at the part where Kuja has everyone caged and is sending you to Oeilvert.
Then a fucking catuar did 1000 needles to Dagger and killed her, so I gave her a phoenix down and when she was revived... she doesn't have the perma mute anymore!
Will this fuck my game later on? Has it happened to anyone else?

Need more info, did you have an item equipped with perma mute? Was it 100% learned and you put your soul crystal things in it?

I sure hope so... well so far it's nice because I can heal and it's really better than using potions.

Yes, it did. You were muted at some point.
Dagger's mute only effects battles, and only sometimes.
Are you talking about her going mute as a story element - cause she was still able to do magic/summons after that although she would sometimes fails or the segment in Oeilvert where anyone sent there can't use magic.
Also you should have always been able to heal with her at least from the menu. At least IIRC.
An enemy silenced you and you thought it was her status effect. Dagger being unable to talk is a character point, not a status effect. It only effects battles.

The "Dagger lost focus" thing only appears in battles. You are remembering wrong my dude.

Dunno what to say, bro. She can be silenced over her character silencing, which explains the menu thing, but there was absolutely no message from the menu.
You shouldn't play video games while high.
weird, at the very least, I hope my game is not glitched or something.
Also the chests included i the steam version are for the REAL casual gamers, I've only used them to see what they were about and man, 9999 damage, constant trance, no enemy spawns... it's for people that just don't like video games.

Literally every fucking character has a 9999 skill at the end of the game. They are all the same with the difference that you could cast regen on Garnet's Ark for big heals or Vivi's Doomsday can also act as healing skill if you can absorb shadow damage
There was a Gold Chocobo bug in very early versions of FFIX that allowed you to skip over Oeilvert.
