I emulated Burst until Shio fucked off to the moon, assumes it was the end and called it a day, game was fun but didn't attract me too much. You can hit everybody yourself, your character will also say "Sorry!" or "Your fault" if you picked the edgy character voice. Every character in the game has a Sorry voice line for hitting you, even Soma.

Not attacking anybody, was just confused because two people said that. Unless it was changed in Resurrection and friendly fire was removed, but there is absolutely no way I could forget getting fucked up or fucking up my teammates with shooting. Shun specifically kept running over my projectiles at every time, it's like he was designed to run over them an instant before I could fire them. Plus, when you hit yourself or let somebody hit you with friendly fire, healers will run towards you to heal you as if you took damage, lots of people exploited that, free heal without need to use items.
Aragami have friendly fire as well, but like the friendly fire for humans they take no damage. It blocks projectiles and can sometimes cause them to stutter.

You can shoot teammate on God Eater and God Eater Burst, though they'll not receive damage only knocked back.
Don't know if they disable friendly fire on GER.
