Blunder of the century? I didn't even know it was possible to flop a big-licensed title this hard.

It's a movie tie in game, of course it sucked
>851 people paid $60 for this
Jesus
>60 bucks for a movie tie-in game
No wonder why these games usually fail. Who the hell would pay that much for a 7 dollar movie, but in video game form?
Got a problem with that? You're gonna have to deal with us!
Didn't the ghostbusters game come out years ago?
Wow, how'd you manage to get every single owner of the game in a single photo?
Not really, because blunder implies that it should've been in the bag.
It's an adaptation of a shitty remake movie that surrounded itself in gender politics, do you really think PC Mustards were ever going to buy it?
This was a new one released just for the new movie.
The 2009 game has dozens more players per day than the new one still(which isn't hard since literally nobody is playing the new one, but.)
There were a few more but they looked too normie to me. Though you can thank that monkey for weeding them out of their parents basement.
Apparently this is a new one. And they of course want to obfuscate the issue, by giving it the exact same name as 3 other games of the franchise. And the promotional and ad campaign doesn't feature the stars of the movie at all.
>Developer FireForge Games filed for bankruptcy three days after the release of the game and are 12 million dollars in debt.[2]
>Not really, because blunder implies that it should've been in the bag.
Where did you get that definition? A blunder is just a stupid or careless mistake.
Are these the ones who like FemBusters, you the one that flopped badly and was quickly forgotten?
>Developer FireForge Games filed for bankruptcy three days after the release of the game and are 12 million dollars in debt.[2]
I guess you can say they made HERstory
I bet a few dozen or more of those people are game critics.
>so crappy a pun even carlos wouldn't attach himself to it.
How long can you last?
They also used the name of a wargaming company.
Well that's what I mean. It didn't flop because they made errors as much as it was destined to fail just because of what it is.
Nobody gives a fuck about Ghostbusters that isn't Ray, Egon, Venkman and Winston.
They actually used that word in the game. I'm not even joking
Can confirm. Look up a playthrough of the game, it happens within 1 minute of the intro.
You know this video pretty much sums up the movie reviews for me.
It wasn't given because it was well-written and funny, but rather out of pure pity and sympathy. If it was the exact same movie with the same dialogue and plot but with men instead people would be ripping it apart.
the old one is recking it
Looks lIke HERSTORY is over
An entire generation of people playing videogames has forgotten this immutable fact.
90+% of all movie tie-in games will be terrible. It started before ET and it will continue long after we're dust.
Those /tg/ fuckers must be pissed.
I'm not even sure about that. The very first GB game back in the 80's didn't have the stars in it, and they could have gotten SOME people who actually like Extreme ghostbusters with Garret, Kyle, Eduardo and the black dude who's completely forgettable.

From the looks of things, this is possibly horrible even by movie tie in standards.
>Blunder of the century?
for something expected to flop to flop?

Are you new to this whole video games thing?
FF XV looks pretty good though.
For a reasonably large license like Ghostbusters, you'd expect it to sell a reasonable amount of copies from the name alone regardless of how shitty it is. In this case, they didn't even make enough money to pay the salary of a single developer. It's not the fact that it failed that surprised me, but rather the sheer magnitude of said failure.
Japanese tie-ins are usually at least decent
100% garbage licensed titles is western specific
There's a reason movie tie-ins are now free to play smartphone games.
I remember hearing it was actually pretty good for a movie-game.
It was good precisely because it wasn't a movie tie-in, it was it's own story.
