It was more like 4 hours. The best way around it is to make a save right after you beat it the first time so that from then on you only need to load that when you want to start again.

If it's a new game I check the tutorial unless the controls are easy.
I usually tend to watch cutscenes/dialogues but if the game's main selling point is the gameplay but for so goddamn reason it interrupts me every five goddamn minutes I'll stop caring and skip them. For example Ys Origins has shitass dialogue that interrupts me from playing.

AAA cutscenes piss me off too much to watch
