Not really. This is a vampire simulator where you can either never kill people and stay a frail fucker forever or follow short side-stories with NPCs so you can suck their blood. Then there's fights that occur as you explore a vampire conspiracy or something stupid like that.

I'd honestly prefer if they did another LiS-esque thing really. Remember Me was kinda shit outside the aesthetics and music, I don't really expect them to master fast paced action the second time around.

Chronicles of Darkness is WoD 2.0. Or 3.0, really.
There's the old World of Darkness - Vampire: The Masquerade 's set in this.

They later rebooted the franchise with the new World of Darkness, re-releasing popular books with new mechanics and lore. VtM became Vampire: The Requiem.

Chronicles of Darkness is technically a continuation of nWoD, but the setting, mechanics and name have all changed. The old rulebooks have either been updated, or are in the process of being updated for it.
