Anyway the general opinion is that it's the best Worms to date that isn't Armageddon. I think it looks cool, but I won't pay 30 fucking bucks on it. Will wait till christmas sales.

it's worms with crafting essentially.
p. sure you can disable the vehicles, gun placements etc etc.
i havent tested to see if i can disable the crafting system and have all weapons be seperate yet, so far my understanding is if you want X weapon you gotta craft it.

I just wish Worms Armageddon wasn't so full of ropers and veterans. You can't have a decent fun match anymore with dumb schemes. WMD looks like a step in the right direction if they support and update it as promised.

The game is pretty much dead on arrival, go take a peek at the numbers on Steam.
~2000 at first, now 600 playing. The decline is very steady and fast. It won't survive to the next week, especially considering that MAC/LINUX/PC can't play with each other and GOG and STEAM also can't.

Honsetly for how much it gets praised, Armageddon online isn't that good. It's full of old-timers and ropefags. You'll hardly have some nice dumb fun.
