Not necessarily. The boss fight screenshots also show Guts fighting Wyald. We know for a fact that Wyald is playable. I would expect dragoncannonknight dude to be playable at least.

You don't play Musou for they "amazing" gameplay but for the pure fanservice they provide, I have never actually played a single sengoku musou, playing only each Gundam Musou, the new Zelda one and Saint Seiya

Too bad its musuou. I want a berserk game that challenges. Guts is supposed to be "The Struggler". As in he has to give 150 percent to survive a fight and come out the victor. Anything less and he's dead. Anyone have that page where he gets stabbed in the face? You know the one.

you usually need to follow flow of a whole battle too, cause without your troops you are really vulnerable.
and depending for a game there can be tons of objectives to fulfill, usually 2-3 going on at once and they are timed.
Just because grunt enemy in inactive, doesn't mean you need to trash whole genre you know shit about.
