First off because the expectations are way too high compared to SOTC which just came out of nowhere at a time where the internet wasn't as big
And second because while it will probably has some great moments, it doesn't really innovate as much as SOTC did and does to this day

it might not have that epic feel SotC had. but my guess is that it will be a lot more emotional.

I refuse to believe Sup Forums actually played SOTC. It is a very good game. But it didn't innovate anything. It's a Boss Rush with Literal glowing weak points. The controls are shit and the "puzzles" are generally very easy.

It innovated realtime huge enemy bossfights, which afterwards pretty much every game only could do as QTEs even today

Shadow of the colossus was a technical marvel at the time. It still pretty impressive consider that you can climb and walk on top of huge creatures that are moving by themselves. Besides that alot of the post processing effects were never seen on console at the time.

No it won't. SotC is a beloved classic with a big fan base.
The last guardian is following that plus the long delays just make the hype even bigger.
I mean I think when I first read about this game I was like 12 and I am 22 now.

Hype train will crash with no survivors, old fans will probably hate it because it is no ICO and SotC and new fans will fall for the hype and hate it because they do not like these games.

The gameplay looks awful.

Last Guardian is all QTEs.

It will get a 5/10 - 7/10, and then everyone will try to shit all over sony for it.

Not even fucking close. I honestly don't even fully understand the love for SotC, but it at least had gameplay (though it wasn't really that much) as the main focus. This shit seems more focused on cinematic cutscenes, scripted events, and QTE. Basically this is another Uncharted, but it looks much uglier.
