>paying for literal flash games

spoiler: he dies

Z

It's about god damn time N+ came to PC.
>recommended specs include 4GB ram and an i5
how

no idea, works on my shit laptop perfectly

...

>no online multiplayer
>60fps cap
Eh, okay. I want a mario maker type game to waste time on.

You got any webms? Also what kind of new enemies and blocks does N++ have?

that's gonna be a tight one
No webms since laptop. There is some gameplay on steam page, new enemies are here (most of them I think) - vimeo.com/metanetsoftware. The one which makes your clone is disgusting, I am having issues every time there is a clone and there are usually 2-10 of them.

90% of the palettes are shit, the game still has lots of bugs (last song is followed by "Artist - Title", replays not being saved, unable to upload score, fucking stupid ?????????? in options, terrible bindings, mouse acceleration) and enemy designs have been hit by muh modern minimalism. I can't distinguish between normal drone and a homing one, which had a clear anetnna in n1.4. The stats screen would be cooler if it weren't for the fact that half of enemy icons are missing, and the pie charts werent obscured by the right panel. The game won't even launch if you run Afterburner.

But the game itself is fun. I hope they fix all the bugs in reasonable time.

>mouse acceleration
I don't even.
Scores are uploadable now, they were fixing stuff - twitter.com/metanetsoftware/status/768890842819891200.

>3
:(

an eazy one

...

hmm

fuck the gold

I am the bestest

>there will be a person autistic enough to collect all that gold

I fucking love N but I don't understand why they stick with that minimalistic artstyle

No online multiplayer seems a bit shit.
I loved racing others and watching them get blown to bits

it's always been minimalistic

...

...

...

already have it on ps4

...

...

Nigga I played this 10 years ago

Why woukd I buy it

there are more levels, music, leaderboards, new enemies, level editor. Why wouldn't you pay devs for all that fun you had 10 years ago? I think they deserve $15 for supporting the game.

>there are people on /v who never played N
HOW?

Oh. New stuff. Yeah sure I guess I'll buy it then.

to be fair there was a level editor in the flash version

You can publish the level right in the game, I think you had to copypaste your level on numa before.

boom

++

...

>No online multiplayer.
>This is intrinsically bad thing

FOR WHAT PURPOSE

>tfw you get 1st place on some rinky dink custom level

If there's local co-op then of course there should be online co-op as well.

N+ had it. 7 years of development and they couldn't swing it again for some reason.

Also, the level design is less fun/fast paced and more meticulous bull shit. All of the color schemes are shit or abnoxiosly bright aside from the original one from N+

too hard

N+ has been on PC for a while. I remember playing it a few years ago. And it was also freeware too.

I disagree about the color palettes. I think they look good. And I should know.

N+ is a console exclusive, you are talking about original N.
Some of the palettes are horrible (ie Hot and blueprint), but most of them are ok.

how is this game 4 GB on the PS4 and a measly 700 MB on PC

That solarized one looks nice I think

I'm not going to pay more than I paid for Dustforce for an N game.

Oh. How are N++ and N+ different to N?

N was a flash game on PC, N+ was on xbox, DS and PSP I think, N++ was a PS4 exclusive until now.

>No Damsels
>No Gender
>No Exclusion

In the trailer annoyed me. But whatever I always enjoy the N games.

FUGGG

I think with N+ they just changed some of the graphics, added more levels, added leaderboards, and added music. It might have had multiplayer too I can't remember.

yeah, it's really terrible how SJWs make their games political

The level editor seems a little fucky, especially with M&KB

p-pretty

I played so much of this game. Fuck it.

you gonna play it even more

>gold
but it's grey

shit game

what are you talking about, it's green

...

Just bought it on steam, seems pretty fun so far. N+ was GOAT so this will probably be pretty good.

go away gex

...

I am, I just finished the tutorial levels and checked Sup Forums to see if someone made a thread about it

I wouldn't want to play online just for the fact that there would inevitably be lag

...

what's up with the keyboard control scheme in the menus? other than that i don't really have any problems with the game other than the menus feel a little bit hard to navigate at first glace, but i'll get used to it.

I had my fill of N when I was in 9th grade

seriously that, icy towers and lan matches on the Halo demo are all anybody played on the school computers though I was one of the few that actually knew about emulation as well

I cannot fucking deal with those new colors. I've played so much of Nv1.4 and Nv2.0 that I think the light gray/dark gray is the only combo that works. Is that palette unlock-able from the start?

Yeah I played N+ around 11 years ago during my comp Sci class in high school. And it was free back then. It even had a "boss button" FOR FREE.

I was playing Nv2.0 on my laptop before it died a year ago, I think I'll just redownload that and then pick up N++ for $7.50 around Christmas. Love these games and I'm glad a more polished edition is available on PC now.

N+ was never on PC, user

Because I already own Dustforce which I consider to be the perfect walljumping platformer

yes, it is called 'classic'

why not both?

>Paying £11 for a fifteen year old Flash game

Am I missing something here?

aesthetics and all the new shit

Have you tried reading game description?
>In addition to the lengthy and challenging single player campaign, we’ve packed a ton of features into this one last entry in the N series including:

>-2,360 hand-made levels
>-Custom Levels, Level Editor & Global Level >Sharing
>-Leaderboards and replays for every level (even the ones you make)
>-Local Co-op Mode (up to 4 players)
>-Local Competitive Mode (up to 4 Players)
>-63 tracks by top electronic artists
>-60 color palettes to customize the game’s look
>-and more!

more features such as more traps, co-op, racing, color palettes, in-game editor, etc. (co-op and racing is local only, which I don't really mind)

It's pretty cheap and I support the Metanet crew so I figured I'd get it.

Because splitting your time means compromising your ability in the games. Achieving the highest tier of skill in one game trumps being only pretty good at two games.

If I were to divide my time between multiple games then it would be because the other games provide a completely different experience that is incomparable.

This game's aesthetics are sooo 2006-2009 german/DeviantArt looking.

>we really hope to add online MP, and we will be able to if it sells well enough on Steam and we have the resources (ie money).

>we had to choose between adding a level-editor and global level-sharing for all players, cross-platform, or online multiplayer. It was a very tough call, because we know some players really enjoyed that in N+, but in the end we went with the level-editor because we also received a ton of complaints about N+'s multiplayer and how lag makes the game very frustrating. (It's true, even a non-low-latency tv/monitor really makes the game very annoying)

>So we went with the feature that has been universally loved over the course of the series to try to make the largest number of people happy. But we want to keep supporting and updating N++, so hopefully we'll be able to add some more cool stuff down the road!

That's why I 100%d dustforce before N++ came out on pc. There is no point in playing dustforce aside from autistic grinding for that 0.05 seconds difference. Of course it is fun, but there are so many games out there, why waste time on just one?

>There is no point in playing dustforce aside from autistic grinding for that 0.05 seconds difference.
how can you call yourself a gamer?

>gamer is that one guy who spends time on just on game
you will die one day with huge backlog and the last thought will be "I wish I had played all these fun games instead of playing just one". Grinding is fun, but time is ticking away and you cannot add more time just hoarding the gold (like ninjew does).

Maybe he wants to experience the best of a genre because he is interested in that genre.
Dedicating yourself to just one game makes sense for a pro fighting game or a cuhrazzy combo game, but less so for a platformerss, unless you're going for leaderbaords or speedruns.

>paying for a flash game

havent played this since the flash game

surprised to see marcel dettmann and peverelist in a game, pretty amazing soundtrack all around

...

Man, getting those SS in dust force is awful. I don't get why people spend their time repeating levels like that just for being slightly better. Collecting all the gold in N++ is a more arduous autism test though. Like shit with all the levels I'm content with just reaching the goal.

collecting gold is pretty fun when they are placed specially but I hate when they drop tons of gold at once and it turns into a collectathon

it became awful on later levels where you have to run for about a minute making very precise jumps with boosts and shit, spent literally hours trying to finish some levels. However the feeling of getting SS was incredible.

Also immidiately after getting SS on Giga I had an urge to improve that, because I made a mistake costing me about a second. Dustforce is hell of a game.

Why the fuck did they have to pick a name that makes the game impossible to find on torrent sites. Have they finally solved video game piracy?

>torrenting good games
user...

bump

Reminder that WASD for movement and Num0 for jump is the superior control scheme. Directional movement should always be done with the left hand.
