I'm so, so sorry I ever doubted you, Sup Forums. Only those who have actually completed the game can post in this thread. Shills need not apply.

15 hours seems just about the right length for a
Deus Ex game
Just completed it after 20 hours. Loved it. Kill yourself.
Haven't played one since the original. Is this worth it? On PS4 if that matters.
Currently have nothing else to play.
>60 dollar game
>already beat it despite having just came out
lol
Post your achievement/trophy list so we can all see much you rushed through the game on easy mode
It never ceases to amaze me how the new Deus Ex games can't live up to the 16 year old original
Playing it now
Would you posting your play time?
anything's possible with unrealistic expectations and rose-tinted glasses
I just played the original this year.
Where does this "every game MUST BE 40 HOURS" Autism come from?
Look at games like Witcher 3. The only way you're squeezing 40 hours out of that is if you fucking pick every flower and do every single copy paste monster kill side quest. Replayability Sup Forums.
Jesus fuck.
what games actually live up to those made 16 years ago? they look more pretty, sure, but the content is nowhere where it used to be
Next you're going to say that DX1's gameplay is better than DXMD's
>m14
>gotta walk the subway
>cant get anywhere since game crashes on subway scene
FOR FUCKS SAKE HOW FIX?
Seriously. Why does Sup Forums think every games main story needs to be 100 hours?
verify the integrity of the game cache
>Look at games like Witcher 3. The only way you're squeezing 40 hours out of that is if you fucking pick every flower and do every single copy paste monster kill side quest. Replayability Sup Forums.
I finished the game around 110hours first play through (vanilla), how fucking little did you do to have 40 hours?
doing that as we shitpost.
Sup Forums stop arguing and love eliza
Because we're neets with nothing to do but shitpost and play games
>13 hours in
>haven't even done the first story mission yet
Okay OP, you continue playing games to check a box on a completion list.
No, but the level design, atmosphere, and pacing are
I think it stems from when CODMW2 came out and people here were mad at how short it was and how short games were getting. The natural assumption is that new people assumed that if you wanted to fit in here you had to demand games be at least a certain length to be any good.
also check your drivers fig
Nope crashed again.
Anybody?
Check this 5
>Both Eliza and David basically suggest that you're not the real Adam Jensen.
>Trailer is called "Adam Jensen 2.0" youtube.com
>Hair colour is different
>Screen that briefly appears before main menu contains two Jensen's staring at one another
What could it mean?
It was good
People who finish games literally days after they come out, do you literally have no life, or a job or anything?
How long of a wait am I looking at for the director's cut?
>not listening to Sup Forums
Sup Forums is never wrong.
There won't be one.
The DC for HR only came out because they did a WiiU port of the game, so they figured they'd release DXHR:DC on PC as a form of parity.
There's no good reason for DXMD to have a DC
ok then.
So how would I purchase the extra mission and DLCs without getting a season pass or whatever?
You buy the bundle that includes the game and the season pass together when it's on sale in the distant future
This, jesus.
Prague is a completionists nightmare. I spent ages exploring every single nook and cranny of the area that housed my apartment, then realised that, after fucking ages, that was only one of three(?) blocks.
I do have some worries though. I have basically every exploration related aug I could ever need ever and I'm barely a third of my way through the exploration of Prague. I've not even done a mission yet. I have fears that I might burn out on the game.
On the upside, the "I never asked for this" difficulty looks neat.
The problem is the game was so obviously unfinished it was actually painful. Why did the Illuminati literally only get like 10 minutes of screen time? Why even include Janus in the game when his story literally goes nowhere? There was almost no anticipation whatsoever leading up to the final mission. The game teases that 3D printed city for Augs but we never actually get to go there, what was that about? It was just another MGSV situation.
The more you hang out on and look around Sup Forums and similar places on the internet, you will discover the presence of a very particular type of person, called the "Long-hour Man".
His profile goes like this:
>in the 16-30 y.o. age range
>either has no job, no life or neither
>purchases games on release
>plays them for 12 hours straight, goes to bed and repeats
>finishes them in a day or so
>proceeds to complain online about how short the game is
>"can't play for more than 8 hours without pauses? fucking normie"
They suffer from a specific form of autism which includes extreme shit taste, a.k.a. being able to withstand multiple hours of content with no regrets and bragging about it. They die fairly soon thanks to blood clots.
I reckon that they were running out of time so someone higher up made the decision to just focus on Prague and then they can release the rest of the game at a later date.
Publishers like lots of constant income and not just occasional huge bursts
Don't know, I'm having a blast.
Quick! Sell this game to me. Pros and cons.
>suspiciously delicious
It's really good.
Hub is quite nice.
Stealth/Combat XP rewards are a bit better balanced
Lots of exploring and breaking and entering.
You can break down most doors with vending machines
Excellent pacing.
Cons:
Loading times are a bit shit if the game isn't on an SSD
can crash/have performance issues if your PC isn't brilliant
Overall story isn't brilliant
Ends a bit too suddenly
SuperBunnyHop review just came out:
youtube.com
Sounds like the narrative is complete dogshit but the level design and gameplay are top-notch.
That puts me over the fence to buy it once I have the money to spare, but it's sad that they dropped the ball so hard on story.
it was all a dream!
>Pritchard writes screenplays in his spare time
>actually sent Adam a copy
>photo is his dog which had to be put down while he was recovering from his aug operation in HR
Thanks. Sounds good to me then.
>"final boss"
>Hit him with some EMP rounds and then press Q
> Win
WHAT THE FUCK
>Sup Forums is never wrong.
>Nucl3arsnake
>Snake from MGS 3 went nuclear
KOJIMA
What an odd game. It's not bad, but it felt so small in scope compared to the other games.
>tfw didn't get foxiest of the hounds
Probably not doing another run of this, I'm content with my one playthrough.
time for a lethal playthrough :^)
A dollar per hour of gameplay up to 60 that is the rule.
Venom Jensen
Buy the DLC, goy.
People calling Prague a bad hub are idiots. It blows Detroit and Hengsha out of the water in every way.
Very few games meet this goal and ones that are shit well exceed it like mmo's and such
>he thinks quantity is more important than quality
>caring about story in videogames
jej
Yeah, the whole game is basically just finishing up that case that started in Dubai. I don't mind small scope games, but MD raised so many other questions during play only to not answer for most of them.
Nah, it's still him. It's just going the next step with transhumanism, are you the same person after enough has been replaced. He's a sleeper cell now, and he lost his body in 1.
Sarif's new VA was a kick in the balls. I want Priichard and Malik back.
>tfw you hate everyone in the new cast
Cant wait for 3 where augs are holocausted and they show Malik and Sarif being killed for "emotional impact" and as an excuse to not bring them back as full characters.
between the sudden ending and only having one real hub it basically sounds like they only made 50-60% of a game
what's there was pretty good, but if it took them 5 years just to get this far, that's not a good sign
+the single big hub gimmick is better than Human Revolution's multiple hubs with "you can't finish sidequests once you travel" warning
+urine filter is gone, colors are better
+the world is dense with lots of shit to explore
+xp balance is a tad better than HR
+new augs are fun as fuck
-a few rough edges, there's a delay between dialogue lines, before takedown animations, etc.
-controversial anti climactic ending
I think the new cast is likable enough, except for Vega. Everyone hates Vega from what I've seen so that's a job well done.
MD is a bit much imo.
It's just mazelike in the hubs, and I dislike the colourless atmosphere where it's all gray.
If there were more hubs for variety maybe this wouldnt be an issue.
Not getting pacifist or foxiest after I triggered an alarm on a failed hack, then accidentally flipped a breaker that electricuted some gaurd. I just hoped it would turn off lights or something for stealth.
15 hours? Holy fuck HR was 50 hours long
>cameras can spot broken walls
w-what.
was anyone able to get into the basement without alerting of the hemingway's fine spirits?
perfect amount of hours for a game is 30 imho
She's the black chick right?
I forgot one I did like. New Doctor, even if his design is kibda edgy.
Why is the game so short? How much is planned for DLC is what worries me.
>15hours
>cliffhanger ending
You best be joking
What the fuck were they working on all these years?
>14 hours in
>Just stole the data disc from the train station, the first mission after the tutorial
>Entire rest of the game has been sneaking around on Deus Ex difficulty stealing panties from every single apartment in all of Prague
SEND HELP
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The UI also feels very unpolished and controls don't correlate as well to KB+M as they did in HR, especially in hacking and security interfaces.
so far from what I have played every character is a san francisco feminist tumblr user.
>forger chick has pink hair to the side with giant gross earing, also fat and has glasses
>augs faggot dresses like a nu male with shitty hair
and not to mention
>sarif looks like a faggot beta, doesn't even look or sound like sarif from HR
JUST
It's like you've literally never heard of cyberpunk themes until MD came out. The Sarif thing was shit though, he sounds like a nasally little bitch.
I hear they switched engines mid-development, which might have caused the delay.
>It's just mazelike in the hubs, and I dislike the colourless atmosphere where it's all gray.
HR's hubs felt like more of a maze to me, particularly in Detroit where the map is wrong and multiple alleys are permanently blocked.
The atmosphere is probably MD's biggest strength when compared to HR. I haven't seen such a well done oppressed city in a long time, probably since City 17 and Prague is better than City 17. The overcast sky is part of that atmosphere of course.
Gggmanlives said it took him 12 hours with all the side missions as well and some people say it took them 20+ hours. Not sure what to believe any more.
Which is a better global-conspiracy-RPG, Mankind Divided or Alpha protocol? Been hankering for something like it due to MD coming out, but I'm wondering if I should just try Alpha Protocol while I wait for MD to drop in price.
Yeah, Vega is the black chick contact from the Juggernaut Collective.
I like most of the people from Interpol. Pretty much everyone except for Aria.
qt
I'm 20 hours in. I just broke into the Mafia hideout and learned about the London terror attack. How much is left until the end?
NEETs who can't afford video games and has no standards, only care about dollar per hour ratio, not actual quality
The brunette psychiatrist chick was alright, too bad she had the personality of a doorknob.
>you'll never be suffocated between Aria's chunky things
>play the game and think everyone here is talking shit
>beat the boss
>NEW GAME PLUS HAVE BEEN UNLOCKED
>"THE FIGHT WILL BE FINISHED, ALEX."
Hopefully through DLC so I don't have to wait another five fucking years.
Nah, it's 30+ hours if you do all the side content and explore at all.
That's absurd. Twelve hours in and I was just starting Golem City.
Probably depends how you play it. I managed to squeeze 13 hours in a non-lethal playthrough while doing the side stuff.
To be honest, I think they put too much into the Breach thing. It feels like a f2p mobile game.
basically they spent 3 years making the engine, 1 year arguing over how to make the game, and then 1 year actually making the game
yes
>on PS4
if you must
you're there
it's a good mission though
>Non-lethal is significantly easier than lethal
kinda disappointed desu
duh
>Literally asking for a paid DLC to finish the game
Holy shit, you fuckers are ridiculous.
I did all the side missions that i got and finished at 15 hours. Not even rushing it.
non lethal mostly.
Out of nowhere ending where i literally thought this was the first boss of many.
Fuck i'm disappointed. fuck ng+
Non-lethal has been easier in HR too, what are you on about?
Obviously it's easier to sneak through levels than go in Rambostyle.
>arguing
Which goes like this:
>JF says something
>team agrees
>one person second guesses JF and almost gets thrown to the cold room
no JF please don't throw me to the cold room let's do it your way
>le teamwork faec
Better than a full-priced game that takes five years to complete just to have it half-finished. I'd rather they started another story instead of having to finish this fucking one.
Sauce?
