definitive version of games
Definitive version of games
...
by that definition, the PC port should be superior, since it's identical to the Xbox port, but supports notably higher resolutions, and still works on modern machines.
That being said, PS2 original has higher quality audio, FMVs, and fog textures.
...
...
>sub 20fps with constant drops
The HD 360 edition is the definitive version of Snake Eater.
...
so the ps2 version is superior
...
>no Link
>no dual language
Fucc outta here with that shit whiteboy
in a sense yes, especially if you get the Director's Cut version, that has all the bonus content.
PC port is pretty cool for UHD gaming though. It also has smoother flashlight illumination.
...
...
how's the controls though? mgs relies on pressure sensitivity for some stuff
...
...
Pressure sensitive controls sucked ass and made CQC grabs tricky. Oops I accidentally choked this guy out, or slit his throat. The 360 version simply maps those actions to buttons so you will never have an accident again. So you can grab that guard, drag him behind a wall, interrogate him, then slit his throat all at your leisure.
Plus it's a near constant 60 with occasional drops that never go below 40. The 360 version is my favorite version of SE.
...
HD PS3 you mean.
>accidentally killing anything
>killing anything in post-MGS1 games
you just seriously lack the gud.
plus the PS3 version runs just the same.
I meant what I said. See here.
>pacifist runs
>DS3
you stupid fuck.
I've done complete non lethal runs tons of times. MGS3 is my favorite game of all time, I've played it more times than I can count. You bet your ass I've had lethal fun here and there. Especially on replays when you have the Patriot.
>I like telling other people how they should play their games
You sound fun.
Then next time state your opinion is subjective. Maybe you wont rile up babbys like me.
Resident evil 4 on the Wii
Fight me
...
Sorry, fair point. In my opinion the 360 version is superior due to the lack of pressure sensitive controls, and because I really dislike the DS3.
sony blown the fuck out
>plus the PS3 version runs just the same
lmao, stop lying dumbass.
...
MGS3 is so much fun on the 3DS.
And I prefer the pressure controls. Agree to disagree.Though does the 360 version drop alot like the ps3 ver
>PS3 wost fps
>Playing on DS3
It's almost going to be five years
Sure, I'll agree to disagree, even though it's just differing opinions, there's nothing to disagree on. Neither one of us is right or wrong, we just like different things.
...
Xbox port has all the bonus content by default
We will get the definitive MGS3 next year
I was legit excited as fuck until this turned out to be a pachislot machine.
Hopefully not. I'm tired of this overrated shit. They need to remake the 2 Metal Gear games or just make Metal Gear solid 6.
...
Its getting a full remake though not just pachislot
This.
Unless you have a source you can fuck off, you're the millionth Sup Forumsirgin to claim this since it was announced.
...
...
...
...
This has the best multiplayer mode in any Resident Evil game. I wish they put part 2 on the DS.
I will play this on my deathbed
With the 60 fps, the 360 version of pd is pretty fucking amazing.
Shame goldeneye's version was cancelled.
...
>all those nintodddlers posting the "Wii U version is better"
You can stop now, nothing will justify your buyer's remorse
...
...
game was fucking trash though
the original must have been a huge hit on the nintoddler 64
>Wii U
>Not 360
Wii U has more framedrops than the 360 version at way more locations despite being able to run 60 at best.
Also on that note
Devil May Cry 1 HD Collection
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition PS2/PC with fixes
Ninja Gaiden Black
Ninja Gaiden II
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge
Wonderful 101 download version
Wii U has bonus content and you could also play the sequel on the same system
MGS4 on PC
Direct command was nice but sort of ruined the challenge of the game, since you need to take advantage of the tactics.
kys
Does this work with the joystick on 3ds? I owned it in the days of the old ds and the controls were either imprecise (d pad) or shitty as fuck (touchscreen)
Which buttons are mapped differently?
Yes
ok
Xbox version has the PC lighting effects + PS2 fog effects and runs smoother than both versions.
Considering you can run the PC version at 60fps, no it doesn't
...
>Wonderful 101 download version
what makes it different from physical?
Nope, PS2.
Nope, PS3 HD Collection.
Nope, PSP Complete Collection.
Yes.
Yes.
No, Wii U Virtual Console rerelease.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
No, PC.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
No, FES on PS2.
No, emulated via Dolphin.
No, fuck off retard.
>b-but muh HD texture pack
lol
This guy gets it
Obviously I'm referring to just running the base game with a better rendering resolution and maxed out AA, not HD texture packs.
>Nope, PS2.
Kek. PS2 versions of the Silent Hill games are always the worst ones.
>Wii U
I loved the Mario franchise shit that they thrown in, but I got framedrops like crazy. Had to trade it in for the PS3 version.
That's funny, considering that's the platform they were developed specifically for the and the developers had absolutely nothing to do with porting them. Before you start spamming "HAHAHHA SONYGGER LMFAO XD", I own every system and have no brand loyalty.
Yeah.
I'M STRUNG OUT
ADDICTED TO YOU
Fuck the ugly ass """"""remaster""""""
Why?
>xbox
>definitive version
Bonus content + better performance than the PS3 or 360 versions.
The Xbox version port of SH2 was made by Team Silent too and they improved the lighting effects by a mile by using proper shadow effects and doubling the texture resolution of every important asset including James, Pyramid Head and Maria's models.
Look at the gif then look at this webm Both SH2 and SH3 on PS2 had these cheap lighting effects.
Cool, I didn't know that about the Xbox version. Especially interesting about the texture resolution.
I like the remaster better due to the Wii U Pro controller being much more comfortable than a GC pad, to me.
...
While this game had some flaws, it is still undoubtedly one of the most intense action games of all time. The huge amounts of enemies you would face at a time, ridiculous amounts of blood and beheading, and deliberate pacing of foes and encounters made the combat an absolute joy. It really felt like you were throwing absolutely everything you had at an unstoppable demon army.
Sigma on the PS3 gets rid of all those things. Smaller enemy groups, no gore and heavily modified encounters take the over the top insanity of the xbox game into tasteful and sterile territory. Sigma is a gelded shadow of the 360 version.
So why did EA cuck Nintendo out of an entire trilogy again?
I knew a guy who bought a Wii U day one and he tried to convince me that the system was worth buying for that game
Why the hell would you put only the third one when an important mechanic such as transferring characters from the past game is not possible
>Release at full price
>While PS360 had the whole trilogy + dlc for like $30
Fuck crystal
The CirclePad does work, however it still behaves like a D-Pad, which means there's no analog speed adjustment which isn't ideal.
Actually the performance isn't as good as the 360 version, I played it all the way through and the Framerate does dip if theres a lot of action on screen.
I'll never understad why the re-released a game that revolves around using the joystick for precise actions/jumps on a console without a joystick. The touchscreen was garbage for analog control.
Guess they thought extra content would make us forget how shit the controls were.
Correct
