It depends. For character-based 1v1, probably OP's pic. I think Protag VS Artorias was great in terms of the actual fight though. If you kept up with the game since release you'll have seen many references to Artorias as this hugely important character pivotal to a lot of events, and finally having the DLC drop and stepping into that arena in a true 1v1, two legendary heroes fighting at their prime, it's pretty good.

be careful now. DMC is a series and DmC is the reboot that isn't canon taking place in a new universe. despite what everyone says DmC is at least worth a playthrough for a fan of the series but it isn't a must. 1, 3 and 4 are must. 2 is the one you should skip.

I got bored of it pretty instantly, and I have an enormous hard on for 1v1 fights in action games.
Lumen Sage being input reading unless you've got Witch Time or Umbran Climax active just killed any sense of investment I had in that battle. I know you can just peashoot instead but really that doesn't make it any better; it was just playing dodge-and-hit over and over with no way around it whatsoever.
Even if I wanted to treat Bayonetta like a button masher, being a thoughtless chimpanzee and pressing buttons to activate pretty dodging cinema is not exactly my idea of a fun time at all. I don't know how the hell anyone is so pleased from that fight. I couldn't wait for all four of them to be over.

Poor? Get DMC4 vanilla, yes it does run significantly better. It's black magic. DMC4SE not so much, you need a fairly good gaming comp for that.
