Will there ever be a good MMO released again?
Will there ever be a good MMO released again?
>again
MMOs were never good.
XIV is pretty good
Just give up on MMOs user. You'll never have as much fun with them as you did when you were younger.
Probably once WoW is truly dead.
>underage and missed out on the MMO golden age
No it's not, it's one of the shittiest MMOs I've played and I've played far too many MMOs for my own good.
it's one of the best MMOs I ever played and I played MMOs since Ultima and Everquest
>cuck believes what he played as a kid was actually good
Classic.
14 is not good at all.
star citizen when it's finished
unless EA decides to be a good company and somehow make a sequel to star wars galaxies and live up to the original no
>currently having a blast in War Thunder
Am I the only one having fun?
:^)
It's nice but I always get bored of it fast
It lacks exploration and some base abstract emotional features of a 3d world
Will there ever be another anime that'll fill the void in my heart that NNB left?
>not playing runescape
Devs need to stop thinking MMOs need to be open world, that holds a game back by so much
Yes. But it will go to shit almost immediately, as the MMO formula is inherently flawed.
To be honest, I think that Archeage was one of the best MMOs to be ever made. The world was completely yours to be explored - Not huge and bloated of useless shit either, you had lots of reasons to go exploring.
Trade runs were great, going on a little pack mule to carry trade goods from one area to another. More money was to be made my bringing trade goods into PvP zones or worse yet, across the ocean.
Gliders allowed you to travel the land pretty quick without the issue that most MMOs have of skipping all the cool content on the ground. Travelling over the seas was great - Loading up merchant ships with tons of trade goods and having battle between fleets of galleons was absolutely amazing.
Like 50% of the buildings you'd see in game were player houses. It was amazing to see how people designed their places.
The game was unfortunately ruined by the developers. They made the game P2W but not only that you had to buy boxes that would gamble for items you wanted. They made all the gliders have the same stats and same with the mounts for no reason at all. They let hackers run rampant and take player housing. They didn't provide an instanced housing zone for those unfortunate enough to get a non-instanced house. The game, at the end of the day, fell due to greed and neglect.
With that said it was a significantly better experience than FFXIV which is IMO a horrible MMO based on the core gameplay loop.
>war thunder
>MMO
are you okay
do you have brain damage?
Non Non Biyori MMO when?
how the fuck can you have an MMO that isn't open world? am I being trolled on the internet again?
>using /smile on Renge characters CTD's game
I have to try.
Nothing else in my life has meaning
I would build forests of "illegal" trees by planting them outside of my farms. I'd have to find secret locations on the map and plant stuff in proper climate temperatures to get the spoils. I sold my merchant ship services to a guild temporarily. I created a fishing boat and shared the services with other fishermen. I travelled the seas on a tiny little boat with friends to do risky trade runs. I have never done anything of the sort in a MMO.
Just the act of "parking" a giant ship in a decent location, getting people to help me load up, and sailing off into the seas and oftentimes confronting pirates or other faction players was so exhilarating. Developing a house with a friend of mine was great and building all these crafting stations at our base near the shore was so fun.
Let's play an MMO together Sup Forums
Name one fucking time that has gone well
>still no recorder drop from candy store raid
I swear this shit is rigged
>school level only has 1 classroom
wtf devs where's the content?
Worst non non.
wurm
Nyanpasu
>He hasn't attuned with the wind in the HS zones
In it's current state it is the single most generic MMO in existence, suffering from all the problems it is possible for an MMO to possibly suffer from.
The worst part is that it wasn't a mistake, it's that way by design since YoshiPoof actually thinks WoW is good game design.
>I will never do the old raids because nobody is running them anymore
