Just finished ZTD and feel like I need some memes to soften the blow or at least suffocate me.
Oh, and how have the discussions been for the past two months? Depressing? Amusing?

Just count yourself lucky that you weren't around to see them.
The discussions have actually been pretty complex.
A little bit of both, to be honest.
>I need some memes to soften the blow

Uchi retweeted this:

Seems really biased though.
...
Also, discussions were a mix of both, descending further into "depressing" with each Uchi/Aksys tweet.
I had a theory, but it really just leads to more questions which will not be answered. Its rife with spoilers, and its probably almost implied by the very nature of the true ending.
...
bump
Post theory. Just spoiler it.
I'm still mad that Uchikoshi's fucking explanation for the discrepancies with VLR was "the secret ending of VLR wasn't canon, lmao!" I don't know how he did it, but he fucking out-kojima'd kojima.
You missed two months worth of discussion and shitty memes. Check the archives friendo.
I can't even blame this one on niggers, it's all Uchiautism
WHAT? That's bullshit. what discrepancies?
...
No Kyle or Blick Winkel despite the fact that he said before they'd have a part to play.
This is what happens when you fall into cinematic bullshit and pander to westerners.
...
pander to first-timers on the last game of a series
ftfy
So who is Kyle?
Who?
I've lost all faith in Uchikoshi.
When Carloso is about to shoot the fucking old man he says he won't use mind hax, meaning it's carloso's free will.
Does that mean every decision we did was actually mind hack?
What about the timelines where Delta is dead?
Why can't Uchikoshi just tell us what the rough draft was?
Just because he's bored of it dosen't mean we will.
Let me guess it dosen't exist?
Not canon
?
It's lost in the sea of the morphogenic conciousness.
...
Friendly reminder that Eric being his own abusive father is cannon. You cannot refute this fact as Phis bracelet operates under the exact same rules. Any other explanation of the events given in the final endgame file would undo the events of the game.
...
Now combine it with the bicyclists analogy in VLR.
It's idiots like you that make this thread worth it
...
This was interesting. Apparently I'm more sexist than some people. But that's because I'm also far more non-interventionist and less caring about age or social status. Just save the most lives. Fuck dogs
The only decisions in particular i can remember were mindhax was voting for the team not on the note. Carlos and Diana mention it and sean can obviously be controlled
There were a few other instances but they always mention something about someone else controlling them etc
Yes and no. The implication is that we are playing as Delta, and they are no longer manipulated by him (us). at the same time, he didn't hack every decision because he was dead in some timelines. He merely hacked the important ones that caused the game to happen (Votes and showers). If he hadn't done that the he wouldn't have had the game, so he is responsible for all the decisions therein, despite not specifically hacking them.
You people are so salty. He doesn't owe you shit
>You cannot refute this fact as Phis bracelet operates under the exact same rules.
Did I miss a new development in the "Eric is his dad" canon?
Oh nevermind, I just got that he meant 'brooch'. Still making me laugh though.
Was anyone else disappointed that pushing the shower button led to a game gver like 5 mins later? That was a HUGE decision that I felt was a bit glossed over - the leader decides to stay behind for totally plot-irrelevant reasons (besides Carlos) so bye, time to pick a new fragment. Especially in Diana's case, I don't even know what the fuck that was trying to say.
I wanted more scenes showing the aftermath of some players escaping, like the Dio end, and that one Q team bad end where Eric and Mira are hang out in bed.
We're in the timeline even Sup Forums abandoned. I knew we'd run out of things to discuss eventually, but still....

I was laughing the entire time picking the result that had the self-driving car kill its passengers.
"Karma for using it."
Zero Escape 4 confirmed to be infinite trolley problems.
Some of these choices are so bizarre - pic related is the worst I've come across so far. Do they honestly expect people to swerve and kill the law-abiding pedestrians just because they're women?
What did he mean by this?
What does he know that we don't?
Mind control anime.
Think you missed the point about it being self-driving.
Now yes I know self-driving cars don't completely take away control but they're trying to force their view (hence the bias) that the car is making the decision.
I'm more interested in why there's no third option where it drives off the road into the barriers (clearly they're just for show) and cause property damage instead of killing anybody.
heh, that hand
This seems flawed. I get what the point but a self driving car crashing into the barrier seems like the logical choice. Crashing into a barrier doesn't guarantee the deaths of the passengers and driver, while crashing into someone on the road head-on is an almost certain death.
Higher education at work, guys.
>Think you missed the point about it being self-driving.
I didn't, but we're being asked what *we* think the car should do - in other words, what we would do. It even grades you on which gender you saved more frequently (which in my case was completely incidental). So in a case where the age/profession/number of people are all the same, and not intervening means killing people who shouldn't even be crossing anyway, the only benefit to swerving is if you specifically want to kill the women/save the men.
Still has better dilemmas than ZTD though
Apparently this self-driving car is 100% lethal in all accidents
It must have those shrapnel airbags or something
What's fatso's take on the situation?
Was he going to jump anyway? Was he the mastermind that set all this up?
>Specifically manufactured cis scum cars
>Cars that learn you hate society, especially women, to dictate its moral choices
Perfect.
My guess is that whoever's organising the research has a secondary motive of analysing sexism in life preservation
when really they're just destroying their own research

>uphold the law perfectly
>become misogynist
maybe women should check where they're fucking going
Since that link is broken.
Nice site, MIT strikes again
>he's an ally for the fat community
Just playing, there's something up with that study. My results said I was 100% pro-misandry when gender was never a priority for me.
I literally based my entire run on
>always hit red light faggots
>always avoid green lights
>when neither are available head directly ahead unless the car is empty (and I don't think I had this but if there were only non-humans in the car I'd swerve into a wall as well)
There's so much fucking potential here. We need to recreate the entirety ZTD with this.

Is there a version of the trolley problem that has a delayed (or undetermined) result?
Basically the decision itself followed immediately by an indefinite amount of Schrodinger's cat?
You are behind a wall, cannot see the tracks and cannot hear anything
You are told of the situation and have to make the same decision, but you can't see the outcome and have no way of verifying if the situation is even true
Genius!
Why isn't this the original problem?
Because it's a fundamentally different problem. The vanilla trolley problem is justing your ethics from explicit outcomes, whereas a shrodingers version is judging your ability to analyse with incomplete information
