>Have a universally beloved subsection of a game
>Never implement it in any future games
Why would they do this?
Have a universally beloved subsection of a game
Japanese game companies make some legendarily bad decision. Sega could take the Chao Garden whole sale from SAB2, give it a nice graphically upgrade and polish, and it would sell trough the roof. But Sega is opposed to money and success.
>universally beloved
Chao garden is shit.
That being said as long as nothing important is gated behind it I don't give a shit if it's in every game from now on or not.
Oh no, you might miss out on revisiting Green Hill for the thousandth time. Having nothing gated behind it is worse. I don't know why people like you think you deserve to be rewarded for not playing a part of the game.
>universally beloved subsection of a game
Don't you SAfags ever get tired of being delusional? God damn.
Do you even like 3D Sonic? You may as well not complain if you wouldn't even play the game it's in.
Don't worry, buddy.
...
>Universally beloved
You mean beloved by a certain subset of autists.
I fucking hated accidentally busting open one of those crates while going fast and being forced to go to this shitty baby club at the end of the stage.
As much as I want it. Do you realize the shit Sega would pull?
All Chao garden can be to Sega is microtransaction central. I think it's best we stop hoping for something new.
Same.
I'd rather it's done Sonic Adventure 1 style if it comes back, cause hell was it annoying in SA2.
Everything will be OK.
>have successful console/arcade division with tons of exclusive franchises and in-house devs
>kill all of it
what did they mean by this
Maybe I haven't played it in a while, but isn't there an entire 2 seconds between hitting the crate and the key being available to pick up, which if you were going fast means you would just zip right through the damn thing, or at least have time to dodge?
>microtransactions
Excuse me, user, some of us like getting value out of our Season Pass with exclusive Downloadable Content to show that we're true gamers.
When I was a kid I really liked the chao garden. It was a lot of fun trying to get dark Chao and the different variants. When I replayed the game when I aas older I hated going to the Chao world though.
And since sonic is aimed at kids I have no idea why hey don't re try it
Aren't most of those crates pretty out of the way? how could you accidentally open one of them anyway, never mind getting the key
if chao were still a thing they'd just ruin it with microtransactions anyway.
I played the shit out of SA as a kid and even then I avoided Chao garden like the plague.
Pokemon was better for that kind of thing.
Developers know that people buy their games no matter what, or at least the one after a successful game. There is no need to put in the extra work.
>universally
fuck off. the chao shit is garbage. even moreso than the rest of SA2
...
JUST YOSH MY SHIT UP SENPAI
The Chao Garden stuff had its own small little team, which makes sense considering it's like its own little game within a game. I heard the guy who created the Chao Garden and was in charge of this team left Sonic Team. Don't know if it's true or not.
But either way, it was just a mini-game it was never the main focus. You can't expect them to put it in every single game.
>have 2 brothers
>used to go around in the gardens and beat their chaos
>if they were near I'd throw away their choa and look at them and they got incredibly mad
pokemon games do it with every new game, introduce something cool or that makes the game flow/feel better then they remove it for the next game and never mention it again like it never happened. it drives me fucking insane
>wow how entitled
>you dont like this but dont mind if its optional?
>fuck you for thinking you can just skip part of the singleplayer experience!
I used to make my hero chaos this way.
