Tfw born in 1995

>tfw born in 1995
>got seriously into gaming around 2009
>playing AOE2, quake, counterstrike
>realize the golden age of computer games was when I was like 5-10
>might as well hang myself up tbqh

time to stop being a babby and move to early '90s games

like what senpai

The golden age of gaming were already over when you were 6. The late eighties until the late nineties were the golden years. Just play old games.

Ultima (including Underworld), Might and Magic, Wizardry, Doom clones, System Shock, SSI games

>I got into gaming when it was shit and now likely yell at people for not accepting the shittiness I grew up in

The golden age of video games was about 3 years prior to your birth, kiddo.

i never wanted this existence

...

> implying you're not living in the golden age of gaming now because of the glorious revival of the Melee scene

MAY LEE BAYBEE

>MUH JUVENOIA

fuck off

Dude, be glad. I had to trade games at fleamarkets and stuff to be able to play as many games as possible. You can emulate stuff or even buy a lot of underrated gems for cheap. Just go retro.

next life be born on time k

>tfw reading aoe2 articles from 2002 on heavengames

>getting into gaming when you're 14

I was already playing AOE2 religiously when I was fucking 7.

>tfw missed the golden age of runescape

w-wow you must be really talented

I guess you were just born in the wrong generation :/

I was just remarking that getting into something banal as playing videogames when you're already in highschool is a bit odd.

This, I was born in '98, but I grew up with a n64 and GameCube.

reminder that games don't age and a well designed game from 30 years ago will hold up today

>born in 1988
>grandmother was one of the few nearby family members that bought a computer
>only visited every now-and then
>played RCT+expansions, Deer Avenger, Amazon Trail 2, Star Warped, and Simpson's Cartoon Maker
>years later I realized I missed out on some good shit (except RCT, that's god-tier)

I would've loved playing Total Distortion and Diablo 2 in their prime.
