Do any of you guys play this game? It's criminally underrated and maybe the best wargame I've ever played. Real good ballistics simulation and the battles are huge. Also has real cool DLC.
Graviteam Tactics series
I was considering picking it and SABOW up. The setting and difficulty curve kind of give me second thoughts though.
Link for the latest version of MF where
Can't really say much on SABOW because I don't own it. OpStar and Mius Front are superb imo. Mius Front has a more user friendly interface and tutorials, but it's only WW2 right now. OpStar is also ww2, but has DLCs with cold war tanks and stuff. Also the more complete game.
It's mostly the Cold War stuff I'm interested in. I have a huge boner for the 70-80s cold war gone hot and having all of that but only in third world proxy war DLCs is just a massive cocktease.
I have a link for MF with its one DLC, but it's missing the latest hot fix. Do you want it?
I own SABOW and it's fucking awesome. Unfortunately players can't control South African tanks because the game revolves around the M60 and T-62.
I only played Operation Star without the DLC.
Wonky physics pissed me off too much, seeing my tanks and half-tracks get stuck in holes and flip because I gave them a simple order to turn around was very frustrating.
Same thing with weapon crews, they just get upset about something and drop their weapon for seemingly no reason.
>Can't control muh Olifant
>Can't control T55
Why live?
But seriously, is it worth getting? Any interesting stories? Also, how are the 2 tanks different from one another in terms of play style?
Are they going to make more DLC for it? I just want a decent Team Yankee-esque game but I suppose I can suppress my autism about it enough to pretend.
Holy crap, I didn't know that they had released a new game. And it's second world war. I love you OP.
PS anyone can give me a good tutorial video, guide or mission? I always wanted to get into
Blaze of War but I have no Idea what Im doing.
So how much autism do I need to have to enjoy games like these? Like, I wouldn't be able to identify a tank by name to save my life, but I think tanks look cool. Good enough?
build3598?
If you're in hilly areas or forests, don't use vehicles at all. Infantry squads are your best bet imo. Weapon crews can leave their weapons because they run out of ammo, morale dips too low and they run off, or just plain surrender. Or their weapon is rendered useless by getting hit too much. Just give it some time, it'll grow on you.
I think so, I'm not sure though because I'm on my phone. Would you like the link anyways?
Yes if it's not much trouble, thanks user.
You would need a considerable amount of the 'tism, but you probably already have enough just by coming here. Also learn your tanks, cause in SABOW there's no markets afaik.
Not that guy but I would like it.
I played Operation Star for like and hour and it didn't really click with me although it seemed cool so I refunded it. Is Mius Front an improvement on Operation Star or just the same game in a different location?

MF is easier to learn because there's actual tutorials and the UI is easier to use. More bugs though because it's a newer game.
Thanks a lot user.
It's an excellent tank sim. And make no mistake, it is a simulation. Very fun. Very satifying living out the Iran-Iraq War through this game. As well as "what if" scenarios such as the one I create myself were the Islamic Republic invades Afghanistan to drive out the Soviet invaders.
As far as future tanks go, I asked the devs on the forums if they could make the Chieftan/Oliphant player control. They said no and I think they are focusing their efforts on strategy series. These same devs are also the last people to have a made a good WW2 tank sim. I THINK, it may be possible to give the South Africans the M60 tank by altering some files, and you can pretend that the Israelis gave them some. But I don't know.
I would love to smoke some commie coons in my Oliphant.
NP senpai. Also here is the link to GT:OS with all DLC. Big DL, 10gigs. Also read the README.

Well that's too bad, I was hoping to drive T-64s and Abrams across Central Europe someday but I'll take what I can get. Is there much of a modding scene for it or Graviteam?
