You guys want to know ahead of time when digital-only games are removed, right?
Indiegala is doing an 85% discount of Mickey's Castle of Illusion, saying the game will be "retired" on September 2. The rights to the game are probably expiring, seeing as it was released 3 years ago by Sega.
So, yeah. It's like $2 now. Get it before it goes away forever.
Considering it's Disney's answer to Mario, it's okay.

Thanks, user

Uh, what? Copyrights take a long, long time to expire. Decades. And why would you retire a digital product? It doesn't take up shelf space, the only way to not make any money off of it would be to remove it from being available for sale. Then people will just pirate it.
Hunter Ortiz
It has fucking Grant Kirkhope as the composer Go get it
Matthew Phillips
Does this apply to Xbox 360 and PS3?
Isaac Reyes
This is why I'll always go for physical copies if I can so I can avoid shit like this.
I overall like this game. It wasn't amazing or anything but it wasn't terrible either, just okay.
Levi Johnson
Delisting doesn't mean it gets removed from your Steam library. It's not like you lose the game if you bought it before it's desisted.
Matthew Bailey
>Castle of Illusion got a remake >not the superior World of Illusion
Don't want to be one of those "multiplayer makes everything better" guys, but having co-op with Donald in World of Illusion was a blast. The graphics and sound were also just plain better.

>You will never be able to buy outrun 2006 on steam again
also, bought a code, key generated is incomplete, fucking indiegala.
Parker Harris
>World of Illusion I still have my copy my father bought me on my birthday. Too bad that now this is just a reminder that i could have gotten ristar instead, but no, had to get the cheaper one back then.
Carson Rivera
Jesus fuck that was a fun game to co-op. I remember playing it with my older brother when were kids and before he became a prick. Such good memories.
Man Disney used to have such great games back in the day. This, World of Illusion, Mickey Mania, The Great Circus Mystery, Quackshot, and many others. What happened? Why don't they try making more games like these?

I've seen multiple threads a few months ago swearing for disney infinity, which ends up being the answer to your question. They were making profits, but they weren't making GOOD profits, so they cancelled the whole thing.
So fuck video-games, they can't win the big bucks in that.
Elijah Moore
Ignoring the incredibly jewish nature of Infinity, it was a bit of a mess of a game. The fact that you couldn't play every character in every playset is one of the stupidest design choices made. As such, if I want to be Mickey, l am limited to only the toybox, which isn't so much of a game as much as a level editor. Which leaves you relying on community content which is always a mixed bag.
I appreciated what it wanted to be, it just never lived up to what it could have been.
Lincoln Bell
nah, battle for the middle-earth 2 was discontinued after like 4 years because EA couldn't renew the license or something.
Luke Torres
Didn't that Scott Pilgram game get discontinued too? Shit's more common then it should be.
I don't know shit about the series but I thought the game looked interesting. I kind of regret not picking it up when it was still there.
Jack Morris
it's an alright game, plays pretty good, the only thing i didn't like is how it tries to be arcade but then the characters have to level up to get abilities, so you either start weak as fuck or way too strong.
Wyatt Peterson
I bought this for Android - it's nice looking but the controls are absolute dogshit

It was fucking glorious come 3.0. They fixed nearly everything. Had expansion playsets that added a Diablo mode by Ninja Theory and a Mario Kart mode by Sumo (Sonic & SEGA Racing).
In 1.0 character literally had one move and a projectile. In 3.0, after bringing Ninja Theory in, movesets are Devil May Cry Lite. Full combos and special moves. Time sensitive and delayed press combos. Launchers and air combos. The customization possibilities were fucking endless with the logic system they had in place. There's a sidekick system where you raise obscure ass Disney characters like Clu from TRON and supply them with weapons and armor to fight with you. And then a literal farm you managed crops on that you'd use to power up the stats of your sidekick. Playsets were expansive and well written and above all actually a lot of fun. Star Wars ones were more action focused. Inside Out was platforming focused. So there's a lot of good variety.
It was just a huge love letter to Disney fans made by Disney fans. So many little things that a lot of people would take for granted but was included because they loved Disney.
Fuck the jews who shut them down. They were literally tweeting about the next playsets, went on lunch break and came back to news that their execs just got out of a meeting and canceled the game without warning. Half the team lost their jobs. Only reason given was that mobile games make more money. Despite the fact that Disney Infinity was CREAMING Skylanders and LEGO Dimensions in the T2L department.
I'm so salty my collection is still incomplete ever since they announced the cancellation I stopped buying the figures it's just depressing now. I should really download all the user created content before the game goes offline.

Are you new to videogames? Marvel vs Capcom 3, Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast, DiRT 2, the list goes on and on.
