WOAH, THAT'S A LOW PRICE!
WOAH, THAT'S A LOW PRICE!
>FPS with pad
Worth it if you can get it on PC for that cheap though
D44M being even more based by the leading the trend of aggressive consumer-friendly pricing after release window.
Worth every dollar. Fantastic SP campaign and a serviceable MP mode equates to my favorite game of the year.
Hail to the King, baby Doom is BACKKKK
yeah, just got it for 20.
I guess they realized they were missing out on guys like me in the "Never pay more than 20 dollars for a computer game" market.
Doesnt hurt that the demo was fun. Its a shame most vidya players will literally buy video games before they fully exist (sometimes with their DLC). Maybe if they didnt pay 60+ dollars after seeing trailers alone then we would have more demos out there.
>hit and see repeated kill animation simulator
>not using controller
To be fair D44M was pretty consolized so its not that bad. pretty easy on PC. runs well on console too, even xbone iirc.
>genre built around quick reflexes
>uses a not built for quick reflexes
>reflexes
I actually laughed
It is that bad. The game is full of fast-moving small targets and bob-and-wave run animations that throw you off. The game has aim assist up the ass so it's even halfway playable on the pad
>Paid 32 bucks a few weeks ago
>using gamepad for first-person shooter
Enjoy that.
>D44M
stop this meme
>aiming bad on purpose just to make consoles look bad
PS4 has KB+M support for a large chunk of its games
>enjoying doom 2016 babby first game
It's from the Polygon video. Arthur "Hypercuck" Gies is that bad
The super slow turn rate kills NuDoom on pad IMO. It's so much more agile on kb+m
>paid 60 for it
>hate it
>never played past the fourth level
>spent 10x as much time in multiplayer as single player
Will never understand why people like it. The locking arena design completely ruins the game
Because it's 2016 teens who are saying it's a blast from the past and all this stupid shit
>bought it on launch
I paid 30€ some weeks ago and I think that's the perfect price.
>Playstation 4
reported.
I don't even hate gamepads or consoles.
I recently played AM2R with my DS3, but FPSs with gamepads is the very definition of disgusting or "I didn't know any better".
Don't like being restricted to locked arenas and levels? I've just the game for you friend. It's called Norman's Sky.
how do console players enjoy FPS? The game feels like playing Operation - making tiny micro adjustments so your gun will actually hit things.
And especially in Doom 4, the fact that doing mid air quick adjustment shots is nearly impossible on pads.
>bought it on launch
>didn't regret it even slightly
>how do console players enjoy FPS? The game feels like playing Operation - making tiny micro adjustments so your gun will actually hit things.
Aim assist. Aggressiveness depends on the pace of the game. It's incredibly gay
The funny thing is, after a while they think they are legitimately hitting and that they don't need aim assist, but you make them play a FPS without it and they start winging all the shots they thought they "should hit"
these are people that have only played Halo or NuBattlefield. compared to normal consolized it's pretty good. same reason millennials suck Wolfenstein: TNO's dick so hard
High amounts of aim assist and not knowing better. It's a lot more fun before you get spoiled by KB+M.
>turn left and right
>deadzones cause aiming sensitivity to go to shit
>have to strafe to the right to line the shot up
>almost never buy new games
>bought D44M around launch because everyone was surprised by how good it was
>have a fucking blast
>buy the Collector's Edition on the current sale
>bought it on launch from g2a
>got it for $40
>no ragrets
it's definitely not worth $60. considering all components (campaign, mp, snapmap) it's a 6/10 at best. campaign was certainly playable, but the glaring flaws, the lack of atmosphere, and the repetitive fights in mid to late game make me not want to play it again. it actually becomes more enjoyable if you ignore all upgrades, weapon mods, and challenges (difficulty and weapon balance improves majorly too if you do this) but even on my latest run that follows that rule I still can't bring myself to finish it again. meanwhile I've been impressed by the deathmatch maps in snapmap, and I play the Certain Affinity multiplayer pretty often. i'd actually rate the mp lower than the campaign, it's just that it's addicting for some reason, I'm probably just bored and don't really have much else to play
>bought collector's edition
> Got statue
How is that thing?
sounds like you just burned yourself out.
Personally it was definitely worth 60, and was quite refreshing the whole time.
Will this never not get a hearty chuckle?
>sounds like you just burned yourself out
nah, on my first run I had the strong feeling that something was wrong, and I got that feeling on the first hell map. I felt it was playable but somewhat underwhelming. only after I finished did I critically evaluate it and figure out why I didn't like it very much
not him, but it's detailed and seems well built enough. the screw on the battery cover was stripped though and I never fixed it, so I haven't yet seen it with the lighting activated
