But in all likelyhood, it was Nomura jumping to do like 2-3 KH games and also having too ambitious a title for the PS3. Not to mention he can't write for shit.

Nomura wanted to make sequels and Square didn't. Mainline Final Fantasy games drop in quality and popularity once a sequel is made, and it could jeopardizes the entire mainline series.

Then you are stuck Game Director not agreeing with you and the idea of canceling the concept XV and do something else, but receive and immense backlash that could also put them in a shitty position. Or get the second in the hand director to make the game, and have the lead story writer to make the same premise for the story, but in one game.

People thought the game was about taking the kingdom from your evil uncle ala Hamlet. But that guy turned out to be Gladios father.

Nomura fucked around for 6 years doing spinoff shit and working on other games he didn't have to make, Tabata asked if he could join the team in 2012, Nomura asked him onto the team and then he was codirector, then it got started as XV and they actually started making it and that's when changes happened, Versus was gonna be sequels but when it became XV they didn't want that so they made it into one game and made changes accordingly for that, and then a year and a bit later Nomura was pulled to make FF7R while Tabata finishes XV.

Nomurafags will try and sell you some bullshit about how it's not Nomura's fault because some Versus devs worked on other games, even though it was stated in 2008 that Versus devs were helping out on 13 only during their spare time.
