How could they even save it at this point? Feels like they dropped the ball a long time ago.

Fuck, I remember all the hype on here 2 years ago, and people were generally very positive to the open beta and initial EA release.

I still enjoy the game from time to time mostly because i can't get enough of rock/heavy metal songs in games with good action.

The game got kinda better.

I'd buff sharpshooter if I were TWI because he doesn't have a lot of ammo and while headshots give a lot of damage body shots may as well do the same damage shooting a popcorn would

TWI cancelling martial artist for that reason is absolute bullshit considering swat is basically commando with SMGs and it's even better because it can stunlock scrakes and has a fuckload of ammo while commando is still weak as hell

I've actually always wanted to play support because I like shotguns but I was always put off by the lack of ammo and speed

Currently the strongest perk by far.

Can fix doors now (demo's door trap is a passive now, fyi), supplying teammates with ammo is now a passive, more ammo as a passive, skills make the already strong shotguns even stronger.

Also since the resistances got unfucked you no longer suffer an existential crisis when crawlers get close.

They level way faster in 2, plus you get some pretty neato perk points to spend.

What have they done to the leveling system?

I played 3 rounds on normal and then like 5 on hard without even going up one level, from 0 to 1.

So the game is on sale right now and I loved KF1. The KF general told me to buy it since the last few patches were great and that the game is improving allot.

I played Commando during the beta and got to level 25 in not even half that amount of time. It'll take you 60 hours if you're playing on normal and are dead weight to your team.

I think the most telling sign is the fact he said "grinding" which probably means he lost a whole lot and blames it on not having higher perks.

The only problem this game has right now in terms of leveling perks, is the fact there aren't that many great maps to play, It doesn't take long to level a perk if you do nothing but win, but even then it's going to get repetitive.

Added TWAT which is basically Commando reskin with bigger mags and no stalker tracking.

Still has the shitty crate gambling system Valve uses in their games.

They scrapped the weeaboo perk.

It feels like they built the whole thing just to scam their fans with the crates.

Did they even try to save this piece of shit before it was too late? No.

This is true, only skills give some actual perk improvement feeling, and then some are good and others shit, so until getting lvl 10-15 you get a feeling that you're playing a blank perk

I've even accidentaly changed perks and at low levels you can barely notice the change
KF1 was similar, but not using perk guns was much more gimped

MA and Gunslinger were the two perks I was hyped for.

Pretty much zero. The whole mode was a waste of development time and resources.

Key problem is that the game just doesn't play the same as KF1. It looks the same but too many of the mechanics were changed and it just feels like an inferior hoard shooter wearing a shiny KF skin.

It's not fun enough to stand out.

It was going to have shadow warrior style combos and moves according to rumors. The community just kept hyping it to the point were rumors were out of control though.

Sounded gimmicky as shit to me from the start so I'm not disappointed. Anyway, katana is back with the zerker were it belonged from the start.

Why do they just keeping adding trashy meme characters to the game?

I hate the direction Tripwire took with their character designs, for a long time it was just different police and military character, which later devolved into fucking chicken men and santas.

But KF2 is even worse, when discounting the clone characters, we've only got 2 or 4 (if you count Strasser and Alberts) military or police characters out of a total 12 fucking character.

Not to mention the fact that they've the female characters so ugly and trashy as the possibly could. Why couldn't we at least had a qt military girl, or just a regular cute girl, for that matter?

All the medic weapons in the original were SMGs.

the beta was meant to be, i think 6 weeks? something like that. Updates were slow, connection issues ran rampant, PvP in beta because something, PvP fucked up PvNPC, Micro transactions added, STILL IN BETA!!!, each perk has around 4 weapons total, It took untill now to fix the zeds after the PvP update. I also just found out that Martial Artist was scrapped....WTF Just look at Commando and swat FUCKING LOOK AT THEM!!! I just.....this is what happened to the hype. I can't even enter a game without characters just walking forwards forever... doesn't help that the Australian KF1 community (that was already tiny) is fucking dead now.

I think that women, as much as men want nice looking characters to play as, not trashy whores and ugly punks. But even had that not been the case, it wouldn't have mattered because extremely few women play games like this, anyway.

I just started playing again with the SWAT update and its actually gotten way better.

There are still plenty of people playing so I wouldn't say its dead, plus I imagine coming out of early access will prompt more players.

And they unlocked Tom Banner and Anton Strasser foir everyone.

They talked about it in the Q&A video and iirc they are going to work on events after full release

Did they ever nerf the Zwei? It was sad how the Pulverizer was pretty much useless because the Zwei was just so broken.

Is it a good idea to start a game with both armor skills and the pistol one, then switch them over the next wave? Moving at essentially full speed while crouching with tactical movement is too damn amusing.

Hell it seems like I should start every game like that regardless of what perk I actually want to play with.

I bought it from the beta and enjoyed, then got stale, then dropped it, then NOTHING for a year, then the last two updates made significant changes, then it's cool again like KF1, but the SWAT perk is meh and has no Riot shield

Overall feels more akin to KF1 on balance and suicidal and HoE ar FUN actually, because the ZEDs don't fuck around and you're really fighting for your life.

But the slow updates haven't made the game hype. Needs something more, the voices, the banter, more interesting weapons, not fucking SMGs, or at least make SWAT more unique than commando lite.

The level 5 armor skill is actually pretty bad (except to start with on Wave 1 for the free armor).

The health damage doesn't go away, it all just goes directly to your armor instead so everything that hits you (that isn't a siren scream) beats the absolute shit out of your armor and costs you lods of emoney repairing it when you could have saved yourself half the cost with a self heal or a nearby medic. Plus you can't benefit from Medic buffing skills if you have no lost health for them to heal, so no speed buffs or damage resistance to protect you while your armor gets chewed up.

Not being clot grabbed is alright, but with your high capacity SMGs, being grabbed isn't really a problem that lasts more than a tenth of a second.

Probably best to do that since you find that armour doesn't last long in the later stage if you have that skill on

I remember when I first fought hans with it on he ate through the armour before I even managed to get him down the half then I was taking full damage and it got dicey quick.
Without that skill the armour mitigates damage somewhat and lasts longer.

Yeah. You start the game with 100 armor and dual pistols. Depending on how you do wave 1 you can save a shit ton of money. You can switch them out after wave one.

What's even sadder is TWI is milking Killing Floor with shitty VR games and an overhead shooter for mobile. It's all down hill from here - they have their cash cow.

I was expecting SWAT to be an anti-trash in-your-face kind of class, pushing around clots with the riot shield and spraying them down with machine pistols. Instead it's just a Commando with more ammo and armor.

And the most boring weapons selection too.

At least commando's rifles feel different.

The SWAT class is just so bland. We need more melee stuff, like the martial artist or the swat having a riot shield and baton, not a shitty class with 4 flavours of the same spammy smg

Of course, I'm speaking from the perspective of several public games comprised of almost exclusively SWAT, sharpshooter, and commando randoms. I haven't seen any dedicated medics in a while.
