Honestly, Crysis was the last big budget AAA pc exclusive that I can remember that also billed itself as pushing pc hardware to it's limit. Intel was also looking to publish there own game that was supposed to the Crysis of RPG games at the time, but nothing ever came from it. It had a few screenshots with an orc in a grassy field from what I recall.

It's just not financially feasible to develop an exclusive game as a third party, let alone a AAA game without some publishers funding backing you. Consoles can get away with that, but what company would shell out money specifically for an exclusive pc game?
