Get a real hobby like golfing you pathetic virgins
I dont know anything else
I listen to kings of convenience
>golfing
Titleist 913 CB/MB irons split set master race.
You niggers can't cope with my +1 handicap
Nothing wrong with it as long as it's not all you listen to. There's plenty of excellent game ost's around.
Vidya osts is like minimalistic music.
It's comfy and conveys the idea effectively despite its simplicity. Pretty patrician.
You better have the AP1's nigga
You have to be at least 18 to post here.
>not golfing with your boss
Lmaoing at your life tbqh familia
Nah man that ain't me. I actually lied I have the 712 irons, 913 driver and 3 wood.
When you are a professional golfer you are your own boss fampai.
>And Anime
No. Exclusively Videogame though.
Though not while playing OTHER Videogames. Usually just while Browsing the internet or Reading.
The point of music is to put you in a mental mindset, or perhaps the noise helps drown shit out when you're doing stuff, like painting, reading, writing, or whatever. I have an emotional connection to some of the videogames and the songs they come with, so if I want to invoke certain emotions like Nostalgia, I'll listen to Videogame Music.

>>he listens exclusively to video game and anime OST's
Sup Forums here, I'm laughing at you
How can you be here if you're there?
You're not one of those fake, poser crossboarders, are you?
>Compression up the ass.
>Samples up the ass.
>No dynamics.
>Repetitive.
Patrician indeed.
What's wrong with listening to mostly video game music?
>repetitions
>bad
DO YOU EVEN HOUSE MUSIC
This
I see no problem with it
>he doesn't have multiple tabs open
Laughing even harder tbqh
You can't find other cucks who listen to music as if their favorite trap rapper or homosexual rocker or memecore X-Wave musician is high art. That's your biggest loss.
>house
>good
Kys
I bet you go to EDM festivals
>going to any festival in general
>ever
Sorry I only go to anime cons.
I go from listening to Katamari Damacy OST, to Gorguts, then to this.
I think there's something wrong with me.
>Compression
Just like "Real" music
>Samples
This is significantly more common in "Real" music than in video games.
>Repetitive
There are genres that exist only because of their repetitive nature.
Admit it. You're like a woman.
Your board is slow and you're not getting any attention, so you come over to Sup Forums threads to shit up the place and get (You)s, ADMIT IT.
Not exclusively but I enjoy it.
I enjoy music the most when I have context for it.
For example, I wouldn't like Dearly Beloved or Hikari as much if I didn't get the connection I have to it through emotional highlight moments in Kingdom Hearts, or Reluctant Heroes from AoT powering up a powerful climactic scene.
So really, sometimes it's about where I heard the music rather than just the song itself. It creates a connection, and that's what music is about, for me atleast- making emotional connections.
Likewise, when I'm with friends I like to listen to generic top 40 or ED music because it makes a good time for us. At home I listen to the stuff that personally makes me emotional.
nice case tbqh
This is some strong fuggin b8 m8

>Implying this isn't the sickest shit
Hey I do that all the time!
Pic below happens to you threads om /d/ are pretty slow nowadays
You're cherry picking.
Also, all music post-classical heavily relies on repetition.
Are you really a pro golfer?
Is that hard to believe? All kinds of people browse Sup Forums.
>Be Touhou-fag
>Literally no need to look into normiecore music anymore
That and just some games OST of course
kek me too
I know a shit ton of regular music, I just don't listen to them unless someone else plays it aloud
I'm not going to bother replying to every single (you), but I'll single you out.
1. Just because shitty production music often has disgusting amounts of comp/limiter, doesn't mean you give everyone a pass. Tasteful amounts of compression exist (aka enough not to force a drummer to use a crash as a ride, require a ribbon to be taped to the cymbal stand, or swap all the ride samples for crash samples so they can be punchy in the mix).
2. Samples aren't limited to just looped edits... More specifically I was talking about sampled instruments (notably drums, piano, bass) instead of genuine instrumentation. This is much more common in videogames where practically all drums are sampled for example. The only instrument that is consistently legit is guitar, because the Japs love that big DSL/5150/Triple Rec half stack saturation.
I don't listen exclusively to them, but I enjoy anime and game soundtracks, and there's nothing wrong with that. Fighting games especially have some great instrumental soundtracks.
Shit, I just listen to death grips and neutral milk hotel, and I don't even use Sup Forums.
You're so much of a shitter you make Sup Forums look worse than what I think it already is. Half of your argument is just assumptions, generalizations, and the other half is just nonsense hate for non-legit (electronic) music, and any kind of sound flexibility. Please get the fuck out of my face.
Kinda. I mean i assume just average people like me are on here. Not famous folks
Don't think too much on it. I don't play on the US PGA tour which is probably the image of what professional golf is in your mind. I play play on Australasian circuits, where money per tournament is around as much as your average pencil pusher 9 to 5 job, and tournaments are televised once in a blue moon. Money is great when you win tournaments consecutively, but even still you need to place yourself in any kind of worthwhile position for money.
Some people can play an entire year, not earn enough money, lose their tour card and be in limbo for 2 years until they can afford to pay for another one and try again at the professional circuit.
For myself, nobody would even begin to question what a degenerate I am while I'm on tour. I'm like that old image macro of that office guy running out of a door holding a laptop, with "HAHA TIME FOR Sup Forums" that's literally me as soon as I get off the golf course, to waste away and play video games.
Intresting. Thanks. On another note, Australia looks nice but goddamn they have shitty firearm and videogame laws.
>patrician
I think you meant pedestrian, brah.
Good thing I don't live in Australia then, aye.
Reals before feels, though. You talk like a woman.
It's true I'm afraid. Videogame music is samples up the ass, the ride is often disused or swapped for crash due to over compression.
Just because you don't know fuckall about music doesn't mean I must suffer a plebshit opinion from some philistine that never picked up an instrument or sat at a console in their life.
t. studio engineer.
>try to derail vidya thread into /d/
>404 before we start posting better stuff
Every time
No, I also listen to some movie OSTs.
Thr fuck does that even mean? What made you think i'm a woman.
You are letting your emotions and fee-fees get in the way for a truly unbiased view on what constitutes good music. I.E., you are either a SJW or a female.
Don't you have some pop and rap singles to record faggot?
>you can't listen to stuff you like because it's socially unacceptable
If anything, vidya and anime music has much more diversity because of different genres/ licensing that can get you into different stuff you wouldn't normally listen to.
Oh wow, you took the stereotype I was using to lure you into addressing your poor arguments and you only pushed it further. That's pretty sad.
What OP is actually saying is that you shouldn't listen to vidya and anime music because it is embarrassing.
>for a truly unbiased view on what constitutes good music
We can at least all agree that only retards listen to any OST without ever having played the game, right?
Actually what I'm saying is that you're a good cunt if you listen to video games and anime music, as according to my reaction picture.
t. OP
Should be but thanks to listening OSTs I tried a lot of new games.
I like GG/BB ost but I suck at fighting games and don't have the patience to git gud. Oh and I've used to listen to a lot of 2h remixes without touching any of the games.
Sue me.
>your opinion
>relevant
It's fine if you listen to the soundtrack first then play the game because the soundtrack was that good, right? Heck, that's the main reason I got into Guilty Gear.
>listening to music
absolutely disgusting you plebs should be ashamed
