part of it may be culture, but the physical features of the japanese are fairly homogeneous. they're all dark haired, slant eyed people, whereas european people can have blonde, brown and red hair. same goes with the diverse eye colors.
if you look at anime or games you'll see characters with all kinds of hair and eye colors. now when we think of this phenomena we think "wow they must be ashamed to not be as attractive as whites", but i think on their end they're just sort of fine with it. i'm not sure why. i guess it's because people are attracted to their own.
