Games where you have to gather a group of items or where you have to go to certain places? To clarify my question, something like what you have to do in these games:

>Final fantasy I, II, III, IV, V (you have to gather crystals or go to the crystal shrines)
>Earthbound (you have to go to "your sanctuaries" and record the melodies)
>Seiken densetsu 3 (you have to find the 8 spirits and the 8 stones)
>Golden sun (you have to go to the 4 lighthouses)

Are there more games where you have to do similar things? I really like plots like these.

Dragon Warrior Monsters 2
The whole game is traveling to various planets trying to find a magical item that can plug a hole

I have to hope angry mineral bro is still around somewhere

Nvm, I found the trope name for what I'm looking for.

Who's that?

>he doesn't know about mineralbro
You haven't lived yet

I haven't seen him in months, used to pop into deep sea threads

does kirby 64 count

Came here looking for vidya and I found the meaning of life

I saw him a couple weeks ago in a nostalgia thread I think. He popped in but then the thread got promptly deleted, probably because mods hate it when people reminisce about old Sup Forums.

You control a Small army of pikmin and have to gather items and resources on different levels to beat the game.

Most old school RPGs.

Bravely Default

We gotta summon the Mineralbro guys

Post more minerals

Skies of Arcadia Legends have you going after these 6 special moon stones that each have the power to activate an ancient giant monster all while riding air ships.

Technically this shit's a rock but I don't have many minerals saved on this machine

They're are powerful elements that control reality in some way. That's what I was looking for. Maybe I could have explained it better.

Bloodborne

>CosmicKeystone

Hmm, i thought you meant somethng more like Bioware's "pillars" design where you have like 4 or so main quest areas to get a certain thing. I guess those are just macguffins.

Notice us, mineralbro

he lurks among us

If you mean pillars like the ones in Legacy of Kain, they also fall in that category. Some of them are mcguffins and some are not.
