Claw grip

>claw grip
>not using a controller with mappable buttons

claw grip is used by subhumans

>using claw grip ever
Literally have no idea why anyone would ever need to do this

At least if you're using the controller on a PC you can use different button bindings, new selectors and macros, so you don't have to look like a retard and get hand cancer.

>games are designed around being able to use the right thumbstick or letter buttons, but not both at same time
>"NO I NEED TO TOUCH THEM ALL OR ELSE I WILL LOSE THAT .05 SECOND REACTION TIME!"

...

...

>I've never owned a super Nintendo

Why does the claw trigger people?

Seems painful for your index finger.

this is retarded. Just why? explain why this idiot is playing in this conditions

what the fuck are you doing nigger

...

I usually go claw grip in specific situations where I can't let go of the camera control.
I never rest my hands like that and assume that position for the entire playthrough though, that sounds retarded and like it'd give me cramps in 15 minutes.

>yfw this is the guy going 36-2 in Battlefield 1 flying bi-planes

playing peach in melee

Souls series, sometimes you need to move (Left stick), run (Circle/B) , move camera (Right stick) and attack (RT/R1). I UNDERSTAND why you would need claw grip but I do not defend it and think it's uncomfortable as fuck. That's why I prefer playing souls with M+KB.

Unless your hands are deformed you can press circle with the inside of your index joint without using the claw.

er..source?

Oh shit I didn't realize there was a name for this. I do it pretty often.

I use it when I play fps games.

And you're calling the hands of others deformed?

???

Even less of a reason to use claw grip

I use it rarely. Mostly to do aerials in smash using the c sick.

Controllers don't have mappable buttons, games do.

Yes, I am.

you're telling me you can't do this?
Index finger curls and covers the top 3 buttons, you use your thumb for the stick and the bottom button.

I don't know about your mutant hands but my index finger joints rest on square/circle - X/B. Making pressing them easy as fuck to press without bending my finger too much

... or just bind jump to L1 like you know most shooters during the ps2 era did e.g. red faction, half-life ps2 version etc.

Before cod4 it was standard - then everyone adopted the subpar cod4 control scheme like the subhuman they are. Especially for faster games like doom it is bloody important to bind jump to L1 or R1, you know faster based games where jumping/movement is important.

Yes they do, go look at the Razer Sabertooth.

Won't do jack if the game doesn't actually support it. The controller can think A is B but the game still reads it as A.

It has extra buttons.

I can see the point though. If you hold the controller normally, you have 3 fingers on each hand doing nothing.

It's still retarded nonetheless.

Steam controller or xbox elite(snort) and you have absolutely no need for the claw grip

I claw grip as needed. As of late, I do it a lot during drone phase in Rainbow Six Siege.

The claw is superior, because the grips is more solid. Look how in the three examples you approve, their hands are flopped over the buttons like a wet ham. You're not going to get control like that. It's too loosey-goosey that way.
The claw grip has great counterbalancing, keeping is steady.

You fucking what?
>You press A, the controller send a signal to the computer that B was pressed
How can the game even detect if the wrong button was pressed

Or better yet, you don't do it at all

I use my thumb for the buttons and index finger for the stick sometimes.
Where's the image for that?

>not using a mouse

Forgot image

I use it in smash for more reliable shorthops.

We're talking about the claw user, keep up.

You can't use both at the same time.

Notice how in the top right the palm is resting on the pad just fine?
Notice how the PS controllers are being held like it should anyway?

Give it a try, it's much better than straining your finger. You literally just move the finger from the bumper and rest it on the buttons.

I use the claw all the time.

A normal grip is uncomfortable for me now, and I get annoyed at not being able to constantly control the camera while doing other stuff.

Been doing it for years.
