Is this still accurate?
What controllers you guys use to play PC games?

This list is fucking stupid.
DS4's joysticks break just by looking at them. The D-pad also goes rigiht/left when you press up/down strong.
Pro controller D-pad is trash, and the joysticks are unconfortable up there.
360 is still the best deal and the joysticks are top tier.
>Wii Classic Controller mentions that the WIi Classic Pro is better
>Wii Classic Pro isn't on the list
??
I bought the Buffalo SNES after seeing this list and browsing /vr/ for a while.
It's super comfy for emulation.
>DS4's joysticks break just by looking at them.
only the launch models had this issue, although you're right about the dpad
>Pro controller D-pad is trash
literally what's wrong with it?
>joysticks are unconfortable up there.
up/down joystick positioning never really bothered me.
Switch the DS3 and the DS4 and you've got a decent list.
Fuck the DS4.
Using a ps3 controller on windows is a pain in the ass.
The gamestop madcatz 360 controller is ok.
Its entirely serviceable as a not-360 controller with a sony layout (and it has proper fucking L2/R2 - fuck you DS3). Not as good as a real DS3 or DS4, but its half the cost.
>DS4's joysticks
>360 is still the best deal and the joysticks are top tier.
You make zero sense. Why are you talking about joysticks? This is about controllers, you fucking retard.
The image even says:
>This guide is for gamepads only. It does not cover JOYSTICKS [...]
Why are you bringing them up?
What is wrong with you?
I have an Xbone, so I just got the PC adapter for my controller. Pretty comfy.
Wii U Pro's dpad looks really hard and uncomfy
Where's gamecube?
I really like the Steam Controller. Although being required to run the game through steam for it to work annoys the hell out of me, but I can live with it.
D-pad is bad for fast platforms. It will only activates when you hit the edge, so the moves are slower.
The only good thing about Pro Controller is the battery (+80 hours), weight and no triggers.
Didn't read that sorry senpai. Then DS3 has the best D-Pad and it is on Okay Tier while Wii U and DS$ are up there. Still a shitty list.
The Steam controller might not be for everything or for everyone, but what it does right, it REALLY does right.
Its also perfect if you are obcessed with customization and shortcuts for literally ANYTHING.
no it isnt, its great for both platformers and fighting games.
However whoever thought it was a good idea to give tye controller a glossy finish can eat a dick
Since we are talking about gamepads on PC, what software do you guys recommend to map joystick inputs to keyboard/mouse?
I think its called joy2key or someshit like that
How do you even connect the Wii U pro controller to a PC?
>Why are you talking about joysticks?
He means the analog sticks on the official controllers.
>Didn't read that sorry senpai
He thinks you meant joysticks as in the style of controller, he didn't realize you were commenting on the quality of the analog sticks on the official controllers.
>DS3 has the best D-Pad
Neck yourself yesterday, none of the Dualshock lineup are good enough to tongue-polish Nintendo's asshole when it comes to D-Pads.
I know there's a third-party bluetooth dongle that does it. Not sure if there's any other way.
Oh ok guess I'll keep using the 360 controller then, I love that controller but I don't really want to spend any more money for it.
Mayflash adapter, supports both d and xinput on pc and works on ps3. Ps4 as well in any games that have legacy support
The adapter is like 10-13 bucks
>He's actually using the bait tierlist we made to fuck with people and make them waste money on garbage
Is the Nividia shield controller any good?
Good stuff is indeed good and the bad things look legit shit though.
I'd use PS4 more often if I had a longer cable, but as it is, the old standby 360 works great
Where the hell is gamecube you nigger that's the best controller.
>only 3 shoulder buttons
>can't click in analog sticks
>can't press B and X at the same time without hitting other buttons
>mediocre d-pad
>notched analog sticks (bad for fps)
I love the GC controller, it's perfect for games it's designed for like Melee, but you'd be a fool to think that it's any good for PC gaming
That is like saying a race wheel is the best controller ever. It is only good for smash
kinect is a controller tho
>godtier to be honest
It says on the image it does not cover dance pads.
>muh 360!
fuck off with this fucking MEME.
Xbone pad is better in every way.
i'm not using to dance
its a controller
Where is this on the list of controllers? Since it was user tested for tweaking is it one of the god tiers?
>dfc the controller
kek
>valve focus groups
>buying Hori products that aren't fightsticks
FC4 is good N64 HORI pad is good. Don't bother with any of their other pads. Their fightsticks are top tier though.
it's shit. It's good on the menus if you have a steambox but in any other situation there is absolutely no reason to drop extra money on this piece of shit when you can buy a logitech controller for 20 dollars.
I use SCP server and haven't had any problems bro
Don't have any of the modern consoles or controllers, I still use a 360 controller for some games.
That said, how do you pause games if things like the Dualshock 4 have no start or select button? Have they fixed that yet?
No. I bought one recently and immediately returned it. Feels cheap, shitty analog pad. I've gone through 2 DS4's and would still rather have one.
>no mention of the WiiU pro's godlike battery in OP
It seriously gets like 60-80 hours off a full charge.
shit list
>x360 controller
>good
>with that broken ass d-pad
nope. switch it with ds3 then its ok.
>the DS3 is still over $40 in stores
What the fuck I just want a replacement.
>Xbawks Controller
>Flawless
Hahahah, enjoy your non-aligned sticks and shitty d-pad, faggots.
I use the logitech rumblepad 2 since forever. Does its job perfectly.
