I did, I remembered that existing and wanted to see if I could handle it.
I just had to wait until the RNG blessed me with Minotaur Zombies I could Dia to death.

After a while I could handle most other encounters as well (but my MP tanked every once in a while form doing so)

Gameplay-wise, I really like the Origins version, a lot harder than PSP version but I always came back for PSP version because of the extra dungeon/boss.

Four White Mages is very easy in the GBA / PSP version.

They're really not the same sprite. Like at all. Nor are Lich and Marilith in FF4 GBA. Plus FF4 can't possibly have 4 of the same character aside from hacking.

The GBA version is extreme easy mode no matter what party setup you run, it's one of those games where you have to either do all the side quests or make up artifical limits for it to be challenging

I've found the GBA versions of every FF to be pretty easy to be honest.
Except V, something about that game usually ends up kicking my ass at some point.

Props to you OP, I enjoy doing challenge runs myself for Final Fantasy games.

Last one I did was Cecil solo run in FF4A, which was pretty easy up until you reach the Trap Doors, then you needed to grind out past 70 and hope you get stat boosts into speed just so you can attack twice before getting OHKO'd.

thanks friend. Looks like it fixes one of the irks I had when playing as a kid where you had to buy items one at a time. Didn't see anything about attacking dead bodies, but I can deal with that it just makes random encounters take way too long.

Solo Red Mage/Wizard is probably the only way to create a fair challenge in FF1. Then again, you might as well play Dragon Quest 1 for the same experience.

Speaking of solo runs, I actually played FFII before to see how hard I could break it going solo.
I solo'd both the main game and SoR, the game is absurdly easy to abuse.

Some bosses actually went down in one hit in the main game (mainly the elemental Dragons)

All attacks focused on one character is bound to break the game much faster than grinding out two additional characters.

As much as I like FFII (only for the music, and the plot was good for it's time), it's extremely easy to break even if you're not trying to do so.
