>games been out for a week
>people has already stop talking about it.
is it that bad?
how did Adam and Sarrif survive the ending of the first game anyway?
>games been out for a week
>people has already stop talking about it.
is it that bad?
how did Adam and Sarrif survive the ending of the first game anyway?
sariff who fucking knows he said they found him barely alive but Adam is a fucking cyborg with an internal defib with like 400 charges and an internal rebreather how the fuck do you think
he was also in a coma for a month
We had like 10 threads on it today.
Its a great game ruined by publishers.
That's how most AAA games work. They're hyped up so people buy them but nobody cares enough to play them for very long and then they're forgotten. Deus Ex isn't really a linear shitfest but most AAA games are and not having the ability for player created content also severely limits a game's relevancy.
But it doesn't matter because they already have your money. This actually work better for a lot of devs because instead of just playing the game that's already out you'll be more inclined to buy next year's game.
I thought Sarif had retreated to some secluded area of Panchaea when shit hit the fan, an area which had its own private submarine, which could obviously be used for escape.
Yeah, like Hitman. At least they just interfering with technical stuff and not the actual contents themselves
Is this a Dead Space 2 situation where it's slightly better than the first one but publisher shenannigans make it seem worse?
You could actually kill Sarif at the end of HR.
He was just locked in a room hiding from the augs who went crazy.
but he was looked up in a room in Panchaea surrounded by a bunch of crazies.
nice Sup Forums logic there
people are busy playing it instead of being a shitposting faggot like you
What's there to talk about. It's a good game. If SE didn't fuck eidos over, likely that Breach could have been scrapped to make room for better end-game content. And Desperate Measures wouldn't feel they literally amputated a full mission from the base game as DLC.
Literally 1 extra hub and better endgame pacing and the game would have been great.
Mmm not worse, more of a two-steps forwards two-steps back sort of deal.
Besides SquareZion's tampering and the clear cuts to create content for DLC the core of the game is still enjoyable and worth a play.
30 HOURS
30 FUCKING HOURS
not to mention all the preachy tumblr/SJW horseshit you have to put up with
It's a good game ruined by the publishers being jews, and since the majority of Sup Forums can't play it due to Denuvo there's a really big smear campaign going on
>start playing game
>'Do you want to watch a 15 minute backstory?'
>Fuck no I remember everything from the last game let's just get this shit started
>Adam is alive and working for some fucking Inerpol bullshit after literally being a minimum wage security guard
>Go back and watch the 15 minute video to hear the explanation for this
>There is no explanation
And that's when I went and got a refund.
Son if you let that shit get to you then you wont be watching/playing/reading much. They're not going to stop
They actually explain how all that happened in pretty deep detail though.
fuck that, I'm tired of this whiney crap taking over every single one of my hobbies
the only thing left untouched (so far) is RC, and I'm sure they'll find a way to dig into that one too eventually
this cancer needs to be stopped right fucking now
Thats the thing about cancer, when its dug in deep enough you can never get rid of it. Theres a certain peace that comes with accepting that, I've discovered.
yeah you can
kill the host
My only issue with the game is that it feels somewhat shorter than HR, the ending and the bits in the middle of the credits.
I liked the game, spend 40+ hours on the first playthrough (did no kills no alarms run). Pretty sure I missed side mission or two. Yes, ending feels rushed as fuck and it wouldn't hurt to add another hub (London for example), but it's still a good game. Gotta do another run with guns now.
>implying DLC
Adam, Sarif and a few others got pulled out of the Panchea wreckage barely alive. Sarif was in the Intensive Care Unit for so long that Sarif Industries collapsed and he went bankrupt. Adam was shipped off to a polar research facility where he was put in the "coma ward"
He joined up with the Juggernaut Collective, a group of hackers attempting to find out the truth and expose corruption, who then got him a gig as an Interpol officer. They wanted him to investigate Interpol and see if they're a part of the bullshit going on. Adam is a bit suspicious of how Janus, leader of the JC, managed to hook him up so easily.
If you do more than the bare minimum required to beat the game, you discover that Adam was tinkered about with in the polar facility. Many of his Augs were changed, and he got some new ones. He's understandably freaked the fuck out. Sarif has no clue where the augs came from either.
It's implied that he was rebuilt and his mind/memory tinkered with at the polar research facility. From then on, he's constantly followed by mysterious agents who document everything he does.
If you do some digging, you can find out that Miller, the guy in charge of the Interpol Taskforce 29, is confused and worried about how Adam was thrust onto his team. If you search, you can find out that the one who forced Adam onto TF29 is Manderley, which means that Janus is part of the Illuminati, or even Bob Page himself.
So in short, Adam was dug out of Panchea by the Illuminati, and everything he does is part of Bob Page's plan to weaken and hurt the other members of the Illuminati in order to pave the way for his MJ12 uprising in DX1.
So of all three factions only Sarif got fucked over hard. I mean Taggart has the Illuminati getting more power. Darrow got his revenge by making world hate augs.
My problem is that even at high settings me computer can't maintain 60fps.
Taggart got fucked over hard too. It's implied that the entire game is the Illuminati scrambling to recoup their losses after the massive fuckup that is the Aug incident.
Well done.
Did Taggart die in Panchea?
Who in their right mind would kill David? You'd never hear him say ADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM again
Didn't Sarif get a new voice actor?
Him, Hugh Darrow and that chink chick are missing, presumed dead.
Thanks
How does this game run compared to HR? If I could play HR on max p smooth can I run this on low p smooth?
so kys?
Haven't tried it on low, but it ran pretty decent on a GTX970 on high.
>Adam finds a fellow "Never asked for this" buddy
>His buddy's rant is actually plot relevant in his side mission.
Man, this is great.
Adam died at the end of the first game and you're playing as a clone in Mankind Divided.
This has been implied multiple times throughout the game, I thought everyone knew this by now.
>Janus
Wasn't he the one giving orders to that Australian aug fellow in that one mobile game nobody cares about?
Stop this misinformation.
>one hub
>no mirrors
>one boss fight
>niggers in one of the most xenophobic and racist nations in the world (???????????????)
>no shadows
>shit story about 'muh equality'
this game never had a chance
into le trash it goes
go shill this abortion somewhere else
>Bring back Jensen.
>Bring back the same fucking color scheme.
What the fuck were they thinking?
This game seems to be selling worse than Human Revolution, and is that really surprising? This feels like the kind of 1.5 sequel that should have been out 3 years ago.
Seriously, why the fuck would you invest in a new engine and work on a sequel for half a decade and then bring back fucking Jensen? Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people don't realize this is a fullblown sequel.
What is "pretty decent"? 35 FPS?
He's on the fucking cover, how could they not understand its a sequel?
Got a GTX 660 8gb RAM and it runs pretty well on medium, aside from the atrocious load times on the train. I do have a pretty good CPU though (i7 4790k), so it might be due to me not using an SSD
I finished the game in 12 hours with every sidequest completed and I'm fucking slow at video games. It's a fucking joke
They might think it's a DLC for the first game.
60 fps with rare dips in some areas.
Just remember to keep MSAA and contact shadows off.
I'm already 85 hours in...
>DLC
>5 years after the original
>at full price
user you need to take some meds for that severe case of retardation you're suffering from.
>there's a really big smear campaign going on
wew lad
I thought Denuvo was supposed to help games?
GTX980, high/ultra setting, with MSAA and contact shadows off. Runs smooth.
I sure wish we'd get more bug fixes and performance patches. My HUD keeps disappearing after hacks, which is really fucking annoying. Even more infuriating, I just cleared out a room with a fuckton of cops nonlethally using a combo of TESLA and the tranq rifle. While looting the bodies, I see one of the cops has the red skull above their body instead of the usual ZzZ. I will fucking rage with the fury of one thousand suns if the game actually registered me as killing someone after 20+ hours of playing nonlethally. I just hope it's a graphical glitch or maybe the cop was already dead in the room. I of course already quicksaved before I noticed it and the autosave was far back.
I didn't find it as good as Human Revolution.
A lot of it feels like wasted potential.
Consider Golem City: a huge hard-to-navigate cyberpunk clusterfuck full of attention to detail. There is nothing to do there but to go to Talos Rucker.
The original got by well because people basically got a chance to play it due to the press leak, and they found out that it was pretty good. Word of mouth spread, and it was a success.
This game is bogged down by microtransactions/pre-order shit, and the sour grapes denuvo thing has lead to such poor word of mouth people don't give it a chance, which is a bit of a shame.
It's a good game ruined by the suits at Square Enix.
You killed him and lost the pacifist achievement.
You're a failure, and it's your fault, not the game's.
too busy playing it
its good
Where the fuck is Edward
You're probably right that I lost the achievement. If it doesn't unlock properly, I'll just use SAM guilt free. It's retarded as fuck that there is no stats in the game whatsoever, especially in a game like this where there are so many metrics that can be tracked.
So I have Deus Ex: The Conspiracy on PS2, Deus Ex Invisible War for Xbox, Deus Ex Human Revolution on PS3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut on PS3, Ape Escape 2 on PS4, and Deus Ex: The Fall on my Amazon Fire Phone.
Should I start from release? Should I just jump right into Human Revolution? Or should I just pick up the original, Invisible War, and The Fall to play on my Laptop?
>Game about cooperate corruption and scandals
>They sell Credits/Praxis Kits via micro transactions
>Worst Pre-order shit to date
>You can literally just hack those into the game.
Is this intentional
>And Desperate Measures wouldn't feel they literally amputated a full mission from the base game as DLC.
this. I played it after finishing the main story and when i was done it really felt RIPPED RIGHT OUT of the game... sad...
can my meme card 970 play this at 60fps ? ._.
just got the card for free, tried Ark Survival and it ran like shit
Man they must have been desperate.
Fucking Square Enix.
>He's on the fucking cover, how could they not understand its a sequel?
The way they marketed this game was awful.
They decided to make a direct sequel to a game that's 5 years old. The reason why Human Revolution worked is because it was more or less a fresh start, Mankind Divided isn't. It's the kind of sequel that's cool to see 2 years after the original, not fucking 5 years later.
Mankind Divided should have been a new protag and a new story. Just like the HR was. Doing direct sequels doesn't even fit Deus Ex to begin with, hell it doesn't fit ANY game with multiple endings.
Quick glance I can see why someone might think it's an enhanced version
they want you to download the app, one of the loading tips says the app has all stats i think. But fuck the app, i never downloaded it.
General talk is if you turn off AAA and few other unoptimized settings (contact lighting, turn shadows to medium) you will get 60 FPS @ 1080p.
I'm on 980 SLI. After tinkering around with NVIDIA Insepctor for like 2 hours, I finally have it running at 1440p/55-80 FPS solid with most settings on.
*turn of MSAA
You can keep other AA on in-game or in control panel.
I have the GTX770 2GB and I managed to achieve 50~60 fps,
your turn
Kinda agree. Some side missions there would be nice.
In the book it's revealed there was a submarine that he went on.
desperate
I run a 970 on 1440p, some parts I get like 35 fps and then some parts like 60-70
Weird thing is that tuning down options hardly increases framerate. Shit's stupid, but the game is good atleast.
desperate
I have an odd feeling that they're going to retcon DX1 at some point.
Same thing happened to every game that hasn't been cracked.
>preachy tumblr/SJW horseshit
Could you post examples? I'm on the verge of buying it despite the season pass / praxis kit dlc crap, but I'm ndefinitely not buying a game that's okay with agenda-pushing.
Theres an ever so slight chance they might learn to stop putting denuvo in shit.
Perhaps if people kept heckling their social accounts enough about it they might get the hint.
I'm not getting it because there's simply no way I can encourage denuvo, not in the slightest. I'd sooner go without or snag a console port whenever.
>kys
I thought you sjws wouldn't say so mean things
For me the biggest problem is that there's barely any change from HR other than more throwable items.
>that picture
>tfw Golem City was shit
Start with the original
>Mankind Divided should have been a new protag and a new story. Just like the HR was.
It is a new protagonist you fucking shitposters. Have you even played the game you dumb fucks?
It's pretty much because no one can pirate it.
No piracy, less word of mouth. That simple.
Whether that affects sales I don't know.
Alright. PS2 version good enough? Any tips?
>aug lives matter
>all lives matter
etc.
>le adam is a clone XD
pretty good point. What's worse is that they split this up in 3 games when most of the stuff you do amounts to Deus Ex 1 up to when you leave FEMA.
This game would have been fine if it was a DLC that was in HR's engine, its only the technical limitations that limit it (and the fact they never concluded the story)
>that stupid pointing animation the MC does during conversations
Some areas are changed to acomodate the console it's on and the framerate could have been better but it's a pretty good port.
Get the gep gun and upgrade your hacking and lockpicking skills if it's your first time.
why wouldn't you play it on PC? Playing an immersive sim on a console feels so stupid especially when it was made for a PC and runs perfect on toasters.
Just get Direct 10 Mod and Deus Exe launcher but don't bother with some fucking PS2 port when it's not even the same game (areas changed, not as big as on PC).
I actually really agree. HR was nice for a fresh start, they really needed to push the envelope and unsurprisingly that hasn't taken place
Same protag, new augs and memory editing/sleeper cell implant
Your mom got a sleeper cell implanted in her cunt
If that's the only thing, I'm fine with it.
You could even see that as a deliberate attempt to piss SJWs off, since they already threw a shit fit over the devs' use of the word
>Apartheid
.
