She sure would get a whole lot more new porn.
Or maybe not, who knows.
She made my dick rock-solid every time I played this game.
>Nun Jo Beth will never see the light of day
Fuck
corporal hart >> jo beth
they are both qts though
"Corporal who?"
I should make one in 4K.
I forgot how lewd some of these characters were.
Hey, I'm someone working on Rewind. Very surprised to see a TimeSplitters thread right now.
Anyway... the character artist would hate for me to share numerous screenshots on Jo-Beth, but he has done an awesome job recreating her, and recreating her to the standards Ben Newman (original character artist) set forth.
Cool.
RELEASE DATE WHEN
I want to believe
This project isn't dead?
Why you guys don't start a kickstarter or something?
fuck yeah
I never played this series but everyone sing its praises about the mp, what was so good about it?
Was it better than goldeneye, perfect dark and nightfire?
Sorry I can't show her off, but the artist was a bit miffed when we showed off a bunch of other characters this past week. He's what you'd call a perfectionist, and well... a lot of us on the team are.
Haha, I wish I could give one. Ultimately, we know we need to let people play *something,* and the team has been snarling at each other on what should make the first public demo (so we can focus on those assets.) Sadly, Spaceways will have to wait, (as I have been working on that lately,) but like I said, we need to get something out, and get that stuff polished.
I wish we could. It would help with finding and hiring really experienced programmers and designers, but that requires a green light from Crytek, and they haven't budged on allowing that to happen. In the meantime, some of the team takes on commissions and Patreon and whatnot; I haven't gone that route yet, but considering that I'm working past 2 am here on the double barrel shotgun, I'm putting in extra hours into the project where I'm probably hurting myself financially. I'm pretty conflicted about asking for donations, though, especially because I want to make sure that I can deliver something back to donors.
Please do. That's pretty much what this team has at this point- Facebook groups and our website to keep morale high. Then again, we are building this damn game to play ourselves, and that's a good enough reward for me.
If you are telling the truth, tell whoever the PR guy is to shut the fuck up and say NOTHING until the game is released so you dont get fucked by somebodies law team.
Is everything lewd removed in Rewind?
First and foremost, if you play any of these games, you'll notice much more content than you'll see in most shooters today. And it's pretty comparable to Goldeneye and Perfect Dark considering how it was Goldeneye's MP team that left Rare and created Free Radical and the subsequent games. I'd recommend finding channel PDXBLA on YT for a better explanation through actual gameplay (it's getting late for me and crap, so words are escaping me at the moment.)
The thing I love the most about it was the overwhelming amount of content and customization. More than 60 characters, plenty of stages along with a stage builder, something like nearly 20 modes, listing it all off would take forever.
You could play hundreds of matches and still have a unique experience each time.
the campaign of future perfect is also amazing, great to play coop with a friend.
Please tell me you won't be pandering to political correctness by censoring the original designs.
A lot of the original game's charm was how unashamed it was in it's campiness and tongue in cheek exploitative nature.
Timesplitters was one of those games that only got better with every new installment. Every new game was bigger and better than the last one in every way. Future Perfect had a roster of like 140 playable fucking characters and like 30-40 guns (some were just an existing gun, but dual wield).
The humor and storytelling was great, the graphics were great, the gameplay was great, the multiplayer was great, the map maker was great, everything was just fucking great about it.
They were literally given the permission to do this by crytek.
Nope. I hope we don't catch flak for it, but I feel conflicted enough when I alter small details in the environment design. We're trying to stick to beautifying characters, weapons, and levels, though there are some big exceptions like Warzone (which does look pretty damn awesome if I do say so myself.)
We're going to play things carefully. We want to see the game out permanently, and will continue to avoid C & Ds.
Catch flak from people who won't buy your game in the first place
One of my all time favorite game series
It even had ghost goggles
Out of all the fucking titles that were remastered already, why hasn't sony picked up timesplitters and remake the second one?
As I mentioned above, we're not going to pander. If there are "necessary" changes, (by the time we get this damn monkey off our back and show off the gameplay trailer,) we will be upfront about any that are called for (which would be due to pressure from Crytek who are allowing us to carry out this whole thing.)
Ignore the haters, create your vision. That's what art is.
Even if your vision is recreating another's vision.
I know I don't remember them this reveling
Exactly. They weren't into the series in the first place, and this game is catered directly towards its audience, characters and even the gameplay. That means that you guys should expect to not be able to jump, not to mention all the other nuances like NO AIMING DOWN SIGHTS, weapon and item pickups, and so on.
2> 3.
Why? Fuck EA. Timesplitters 2 plays better and has better maps which is the backbone of the game.
Future perfect is the dark and edgier version of 1 and 2, which is where a lot of the female characters show off a lot more flesh.
They made you do WHAT?
LIKE A MONKEY??
Usto turn my dicks to diamonds. I feel like this is the only game to actually get away with time travel, besides chronotrigger.
kek
you can always leave the original assets in the game files like the Dragon's Dogma PC port did to circumvent censorship, or at least allow people to circumvent it themselves.
The TS2 Plasma Autorifle was only good for its sticky bombs.
Ghost gun.
Well... Crytek still owns the rights, though perhaps we'll see if we can convince a publisher to buy up the rights and actually see to a full remaster, along with our game... and who knows what else?
Thanks user. As much as I'm big (uuuu) into keeping things as close as possible to how they were (just with higher poly counts and texture resolutions,) I have a few creative liberties here and there; some are kind of in your face (such as a theater billboard,) there are others that are quite subtle (like flyers and other things you'd probably have to hunt around the map for.)
3 had better campaign despite lacking the open level design from 2 and goldeneye, and mapmaker was improved, more characters, and online
Alternatively though, it got rid of a couple modes like flame tag, and the challenge and league modes were weaker. It's anuything but edgy and gritty outside the first level, also they brought back character actions when selected. Missed that shot in TS2.
Well I do like a lot of the weapons, the story, and improvements in MapMaker in Future Perfect, you're goddamn right that the multiplayer maps in 2 were better. That said, Mars Prison was pretty damn awesome.
And yeah, fuck EA. There are multiple articles on the fuckery they pulled with production and the release schedule with Future Perfect. And hell, the story to FP was a parody of what EA wanted to see with the game!
That's a good thought. Needless to say, we'll be keeping her and others around, and might go as far as hosting file shares to 'patch' characters in if the need is required. (I sure hope not.)
Agreed. And there are levels and weapons that were pretty awesome in TS1. Honestly, the thought that we can get all these things together is a pretty good thought. Hell, the Sci-Fi Autorifle in TS1 (a nice reference to Starship Troopers) vs. the Plasma Autorifle (obvious homage to Alien) ? That will be a cool firefight.
Or at least just make porn of this sex beast.
Ha, I've seen one person cosplay as her.
Godspeed, user.
I still remember playing the night the Future Perfect servers shut down.
...holy shit that was 9 years ago.
Well guys, I have to get some sleep. I might have gotten three hours last night and here I am again with it being nearly three AM over here. I've made a bit of progress on one of the weapons tonight. If this thread isn't locked / archived by the time I'm around here, I'll respond to any other questions. If it is... well... I'm not sure if we could do a thread in /vg/, but it could be fun to eventually get there.
Good night, it's been interesting.
I just want to experience some of the best split screen multiplayer again.
How many shitty memes and unfun try-hard humor did you shove into the game? That's all I care about anymore I don't even care if it doesn't work as long as it isn't obnoxious.
You get dental?
...
...
This needs to be about 4 seconds longer just for the maniacal laugh.
You're back! And you brought me a robot!
>That entire "Password's 'banana'" sequence
Imagine the assist character in a modern western game being a big breasted skank with a shirt that only says SLUT on it.
Does it work on zombies?
Alright, now I have a boner. What do I do?
Let the moose loose my dude
That fucking moose...
who owns Timesplitters nowadays?
is it some shitty publisher who doesn't even know it exists under their massive pile of IPs?
>those animations are still great
Gamers were never concerned with animations during that era, but Future perfect nailed it still.
You want good animation? Watch the intrp cinematic to the dam level in TS2 - one of the dudes that gets zombified wiggles his fingers due to being nervous before said zombification. Its a really fluid style of animation.
>modern porn animations have better animations than modern games
Wait what. Can you explain that further for a simpleton?
Crytek owns the IP and has stated more times than I can count that they aren't doing anything with it. They also owned who used to be Free Radical but sold them off along with the Homefront IP to dodge bankruptcy at the last minute.
>reminder that Crytek saw more value in a Homefront sequel than a Timesplitters sequel
youtube.com
Around the 7 second mark.
I loved playing her in co-op sessions.
...
>This legit spooked me when I was younger
>TS2 will be 14 years old soon
Easter egg hunt sounds fun, I always love shit like that. It really shows that the devs cared about their project.
I really hope this project actually gets completed, we've all been through far too many projects like this that never saw the light of day, and I assume it's the hardest for the devs when that happens.
I still get spooked a little when you have to pick up that keycard and it brings all the zombies in the room to life.
Fuck man, this hit my nostalgia hard. I can't remember how many times I saw that scene as a little kid showing this game to my friends.
> keeping original designs in a remake = pandering
Nice reading comprehension fag, he was referring to pandering to political correctness.
such a shame its Crytek who owns the IP
I mean, there's virtually no chance they'll ever do anything with it, and even if they did I wouldn't want to play the result because everyone knows how they'd fuck it up.
He was saying that he wasn't going to be pandering by changing them. I can see how you'd get it mixed up though by the way he stated it.
The original user asked him if he would be pandering to the Politically Correct crowd by changing the assets to be more PC, the dev responded with no.
OOOH YEAH! TIIIIIME TO SPLIT!!!!
youtube.com
TS4 never ever
>Goldenface
Isn't that only supposed to be used with exclusive shitposting? Nobody wins in this situation, not even gold man.
That's false though. Crytek didn't want them to make a new one because it was considered too niche a franchise and didn't have enough of a following to warrant a new one.
thanks for explaining, my man. godspeed, TS remake then.
I'll. I'll get the next one.
well the game is complete so in a way it's the most exclusive
>Crytek buys a studio that never wanted to make a realistic military shooter to make a "realistic" guerilla shooter
is like Pottery, it breaks.
Only series I replay every year, I would kill for an HD collection Rewind sounds cool but as far as I know it's only the MP and i really liked the SP campaigns.
So, who was the friend in your group that played nothing but monkeys?
Heyyy... wanna be in my gang?
> I would kill for an HD
Due to the art style all of the games respond very well to being emulated at higher resolutions. TS2 in particular looks gorgeous at what amounts to 4k in pcsx2.
Eh, Future Perfect was good but it felt too self conscious. Siberia, Chicago and Notre Dam were atmospheric and tense in TS2 but every level in FP had to slap in jokes so you'd go from walking past a bathtub with a corpse floating in it to Cortez talking about his ghost gun within the span of five minutes.
FP also had multiplayer maps that didn't feel anywhere near as polished as the maps in 2. I can't think of a single bad map in TS2 but FP gave us maps like the top of the Siberian Dam which was just a massive flat plain. Even the best maps didn't reach the level of classics like Mexican Mission or Chinese Restaurant.
Also FP didn't have Anaconda so that's an immediate failure.
my cousin
fuck that guy
>choose monkey
>go under the waterfall in training ground
that fucking cunt needs to get sent to the moon.
I know, but they all have weird graphical glitches with lights.
Is the GC version any different control scheme wise? I know they don't have the same light glitches on dolphin.
>Future perfect is the dark and edgier version of 1 and 2
What? TS 2 is the one where humanity is on the brink of extinction. FP is Cortez's wacky adventures through time with his zany side kicks.
Also, the thought of a revived MP scene for these games make my dick diamonds.
>I know, but they all have weird graphical glitches with lights.
Only in DX11 mode iirc - openngl works fine. Downside opengl might as well be Nvidia only for a whole host of technical reasons.
>Is the GC version any different control scheme wise?
No idea - though i'm tempted to find out.
from what i remember off hand, R is shoot, L is aim, Z is grenade, Dpad changes weapons, A is use, B is crouch, Y is reload, X is melee. it's a little different because of the no clicky sticks.
Alright, looks like I'm playing them 2 times this year.
might be a good idea to try the GC version since it's supposedly a little better looking.
SPIRITUAL SUCCESSOR WHEN??
(Rewind is taking too long 2bh)
it works perfectly on Dolphin
>mfw I finished the campaign on hard, did arcade/challenges on gold/platinum in 2 days.
The perks of having had to re-complete TS2 and TS3 multiple times due to Memory cards sheninigans.
How could have people noticed such details given the original resolution of the game.
>broken mirror
>it works
What is this wizardry -"modern developers".
