The Satyrs in the beginning are pushing my shit in. Am I missing something?
I never played the originals back in the day, obviously.

>tfw only played 10 hours of the original but still get a free copy
kind of feel bad
I have no idea how this game works or how to create good builds, but I had fun last night in a lobby with some guys from here.
You don't even need any good weapon or build fir the first 10 levels git gud
people still play this?
It just got an anniversary version update yesterday which you get for free if you own it on Steam.
Get one or two of the Satyrs to follow you and head back to camp. There should be a couple guards who will help you take the Satyrs down. Rinse and repeat until you're confident in your skills.
sucks! i bought the physical edition way back then.
just as a tip: do not go into lobbies with people who are significantly higher level than you and never do the double bug, if they didn't take it out. the game gets so boring if their is no challenge to it.
Yea I just did that until I got lvl 2 and dropped a shield. Beating the Shaman with the healing stones was easy. I hope the ride is a lot smoother from here on now.
Also is there are difficulty setting? I certainly didnt see one.
I dont like playing arpgs with strangers but thanks for the tip.
>Mods that you wish got updated
Mines is Underlord, that spirit is the shit.
New game+
Difficulty only get unlocked after beating the entire game, but good luck with that because this game takes a long 40 hours to beat if you include exploration and quests.
From what I've heard though is that New Game+ makes the game much faster. Maybe that's changed in the anniversary edition.
Oh yeah, I'm hoping the underlord team get that on the steam workshop asap
Holy shit, any user replaying anniversary version now?
How are the masteries?
Is it still about overpowered hunting and dream?
who /killingsatyrs/ here?
lvl 5 and just got the dowry necklace
playing a vanilla warrior right now i always do this then make a more interesting build
what is dream?
How long do you guys reckon the multiplayer will stay active for this? It'll be the main reason I buy it.
>only five bucks right now
fuck, this is really tempting.
It was the most overpowered tree in the game.
>Dmg you bet.
>Life steal got you covered.
>Dmg reflect yes sir.
>A shit ton of hp and mp regen no a problem.
>Minions, only the best.
>Possible the best attack modifier in the game if enemies weren't immune to it.
>CC, take your pick.
Not so sure about it know.
My friends say this is better than Diablo 2. Are they right?
it's 5 bucks for like 30+ hours of content
just get it bruh
apparently they put in a bunch of balance fixes so idk
I'm liking it better so far once i found out how to pick up items
As someone whose beat it about 5 times, occasionally.
Graphics, fighting and skill trees are far superior but things like music and comfyness are lower.
Try Grim Dawn as well. Same game as Titan Quest but deeper skill system.
How to you enter map builder on the steam version?
>Grim Dawn
this is next on my list
waiting for Holiday sale
>what is dream?
"New" mastery that came with immortal throne. Overpowered passives and auras coupled with great aoe cc. Characters going warfare+dream or hunting+dream will break the game - I once killed Immortal throne's boss instantly. He was gibbed to pieces before he changed his form.
run the game
it'll give you the choice in a window to launch the game or go into builder
Diablo 2 is good, but Titan Quest is far better in my opinion
oh, fuck you. downloading right now.
got some shit to do today, then gonna hop back on this again.
had a ton of fun last night
>warfare+dream
i may do this just to see what happens
i picked warfare first, does it matter?
It depends on what you liked most about Diablo 2, assuming you played it and loved it like a decent human being. If you don't think Titan Quest is amazing, then you might like Grim Dawn, despite the two being more similar to each other than to Diablo. If neither of those tickles your nips just right, or if you're reading this and thinking "where the fuck do you think I'm going to get that money from," then just play Path of Exile, it's the best option you have.
> Cooldown reduction cap at 80%
No more crazy lightening spam
On an unrelated note, Is a raid underway against v ?
Probably not unless you invest your level up points into Warfare first. Your second mastery/skill tree is obtained at level 8.
I liked it more than D2 because the class system is fun as fuck, and because I appreciate hand-made maps more than random generated stuff.
As much as I'd like to, I couldn't enjoy Grim Dawn as much as TQ.
It's probably the setting.
Mixed mythologies > Zombie apocalypse.
Are there any guides on how to make quests and NPC's work in the map building mode?
True, Grim Dawns biggest flaw is the boring setting.
well I had to put a couple in but I'll save up for Dream
Yes it's called Australian posting hours
Is there a multiplayer group?
arpgs are boring solo
I wish they step up the eldritch horrors and abominations.
I'm sick of insects. Fucking insect cave in farm area, shit reminded me maggot lair
am i doing this right?
>i may do this just to see what happens
What happens is that you either go bow haruspex, which turns your bow into uranium shell shooting pancor jackhammer, or go spear haruspex to provide anything in your path a new set of assholes all over their bodies.
>i picked warfare first, does it matter?
No, it doesn't matter. You can still go for dream and your char will turn into one man army capable or meatgrinding everything. Warfare+Dream is still op.
btw found the patchnotes, but 4chin thinks it's spam - just google "Titan Quest Anniversary Edition - Full Log"
If I liked Torchlight 2 and that's pretty much my only experience with the genre, will I like this game?
I've never played Diablo 1 or 2, so I have no idea how they compare or anything.
you can have a minotaur companion now? what class is this?
if you liked tl2 you'll like anything in the genre
I really want to play a d2 necromancer and no other games give me an opportunity that's even remotely close. Should I play d2?
Or
Should I pick this up and try my hand at it?
Where and what can you respec?
i'm almost done downloading it. anyone here who wants to start a new game with me?
>will I like this game?
Considering TL2 is basically the absolute average when it comes to this genre, you'll probably enjoy TQ.
Depends on what you're going to play for class.
you can pay a mystic to unlearn individual skills. not mastery levels or stats.
Can: Respec skills
Can't: Respec points invested into a class
I forget when
I only played TL1 and it was shit. No reason to assume 2 is any better so if you liked that, you will fucking love Titan Quest since it's better in every way.
In Delphi, but it cost gold for every point returned.
idk. i thought about druid maybe? i forgot most about all of the classes so i'm open to anything right now.
I forgot I played more games in the genre, but I don't really think I liked any of them. Mostly on the PS2, I think.
I also have an old copy of Diablo so that was wrong, but I don't remember liking that at all either.
Basically, TL2 is pretty much the only one I've played and had fun with enough to remember without actively thinking about it.
With that in mind, would it still be my game?
One of you make warfare+defense to rape low level gameplay and carry the other. The second one makes Spirit+Nature and summon partly undead zoo which will rape endgame.
>spear haruspex
so I'll need dex+int instead of str?
might have to wait for new build then lol
I tried playing this and even got past Greece and into the 2nd area, think it was Egypt or something but I couldn't go any farther than that. Dropped Diablo 2 in the middle of act 2 as well. These kinds of games aren't really fun though. Surprisingly enough I liked PoE.
Seems to me you just hate deserts.
spirit+nature sounds great. that's druid, right?
actually, apparently i own this from somewhere, so I guess I'll just find out.
>act 2 is always a fucking desert
>Be useless for one part of the main game and be useful for another part
No thanks. I'd rather be useful all the way through.
>so I'll need dex+int instead of str?
As of now, probably yes, from the patchnotes:
+ Pirecing damage now depends less heavily on Strength and more on Dexterity
In original game you actually went str even for bow, because the boni were better then going dex.
from what i remember all the classes are viable throughout the game. there are only more and less useful classes.
One of the biggest problems I have with Titan's Quest are the skills. They all look so boring for some reason. I don't usually ask this but... what's a good class/build?
>torchlight 2 act 2 is a desert aswell
holy shit why
This game doesn't have necromancy but it has some summons
>nature class - wolves
>nature class - nymphs
>spirit class - wisps
>earth class - fire elemental
>dream - phantoms
You can always mix it up with other classes that can provide either an aura buff (Temporal Flux, Dream) or aggro the enemy mobs like a MMO tank and let your pets do the dps (Defender). Or you can run a zoo unleash class by picking two classes and heavily invest your level up points on summons and pet buffs.
>always run Warfare + Spirit
>takes a while to get rolling but by the middle of Act 2 I am a lifestealing, cleaving engine of melee destruction
>mfw seeing dat change to Circle of Power
I'm terrible at builds fro ARPGs. I just shove points into whatever and see how it goes, which usually fucks me over by endgame.
Soothsayer.
Problem with it is that it's FUCKING USELESS against last bosses on normal difficulty. Your summons die super fast and don't deal any damage. They scale with difficulty though, so in the end you'll just walk behind your little army and pick up loot while they rape everything that runs, flies or swims
is there no lobby anymore? do you have to have a server to host?
well you paid the original so dont feel bad
sounds kinda boring. i do want some summoning magic class though.
wait no fuck
Scratch that, you actually can summon the dead - the Lich to be specific
It's from the Spirit mastery.
hurp a durp
you can set the game speed now!
>game has full unarmed combat animations
>unarmed is completely useless and has no skills associated with it
Fucking why
Why would you even bother
Why tease me like that
how does the multi hold up now?
last time I played the old version it would drop co-oppers constantly
>i do want some summoning magic class though.
Well, can't go wrong with spirit then.
Both lich and outsider are crazy.
Had no idea they were doing it so that was a nice surprise.
How are the new enhancements? Was thinking of starting a new run when i get some more time.
Nordic patched in better co-op like a month after Grim Dawn released and a big bullet point for this anniversary edition is fixed multiplayer
Anybody know if activating a old TQ code will unlock AE? By old I mean humble bundle key.
well give it a try
yes
please respond
TQ is especially punishing, attributes points decide the equipment you can use so it can lock you out of end game gear.
PoE has a necromancer class now, and it's pretty strong too, your zombies and spectres will wreck shit if you build it right
it's my favorite class, and i got really mad when they turned the necro into a voodoo nigger in D3
This is my first time playing this. It has been sitting in my library for years and I thought a revived multiplayer would be the best time to get in.
I went Earth/Dream. Is this a good choice?
It should.
Its still a boring piece of shit anyway.
Skills are shit, enemy variety is shit, items are shit.
Sorry senpai, not worth your time
Well that sucks as I have no idea what I'm doing.
You're shit
fuck me how can this old ass game still hold up in 2016
Fugg, I loved to play this game at Lans with my friends. Pretty hyped maybe we'll play again toge-
>one friend is living abroad
>one friend has gotten a gf and dropped vidya altogether
>other friend is married with children and has cut all ties
Fuck, I'm depressed now, didn't do shit with my life the last 10 years.
Any mastery combined with Dream is already branded as good. Yeah, Dream is just that good.
hey, at least YOU got Titan Quest Anniversary Edition
Why don't you nerds go with Warfare/Defense, and make a Spear and Board warrior like a true Spartan
Fuck i remember dream.
You could just pump points into that beginner's wave attack and it'll carry you to Egypt
>carry you to Egypt
Egypt is fucking easy dude. Game only gets some difficulty when you get to Asia.
>those tigers and dragons
