Gym leaders are supposed to train you at facing the strong and weak points of each type. The only exception are the three faggots in B/W which goal is merely teaching you how weaknesses work.

Gyms are just places where people train some sort of pokemon type, and pokemon champion is supposed to be the guy who knows about every type.
It is like a boxing gym doesn't always know how to do karate moves.

Remember that pokemon games are in a world where there is no reliable pokemon database before YOU have completed national pokedex.

Oh boy a team rocket gym

An Eeveelution gym. Super gay colors everywhere with appropriate trainer/Eeveelution pairs in corresponding colors. When you beat all of them, a door opens revealing thr gun leader, Wes from Pokémon Coliseum. He has more than just Umbreon and Espeon now, of course, but he'd end on them.

That's just what I want to see. If I ran my own gym, it would be cave themed. It would have trainers that fight with all the different bat Pokémon, and then I'd have all those Pokémon's evolved forms. It would be full of spook scares like pitfalls and surprise trainers around corners. It would be mostly dark and be a multi tiered maze. As a gym leader I would be easy enough, but as an Elite Four member I'd fill my team out with more than just bats. I'd have all the rare cave 'mans, with fairly varied typing.

TeamFourStar's Soulsilver Nuzlocke says you're full of shit.

>Nidoqueen
???

SeeGyms are supposed to be training. The Elite 4 though have no excuse.

I think the games need stuff like this. I'm tired of the boring "one-type" guns they've done since the beginning. Having a "region" theme like cave/forest/city could be exciting. And Eevees aren't the only pokemon with lots of types (although they are the most unique). There's now enough title pokemon to have an entire team of turtles of varying type.

Meowth! That's right!

If we are talking about earlier gen pokemons, then yea there are some retarded stuff like Sabrina has a venomoth.

Well obviously we're talking about stuff no later than generation two. That's all I have listed really besides Rotom, but I don't think there's a written law that says a trainer has to meet the type specifications for all six Pokemon, it just helps people learn the game faster when that's the case.

Sup Forums would be Dark/Psychic type.

Theater - The puzzle is fumbling through the audience and backstage to turn on the lights to reveal the stage for where the battle takes place on. You battle children, family, and nerd trainers in the audience and electricians backstage.

It's revealed that the stage is to be a stage play for a Sentai series. The Leader is not one but 6 trainers who each use one pokemon but there are 3 fights: a Double battle with the Green and Pink rangers, a Triple battle with Red, Yellow, and Blue rangers, and lastly a one on one with the White ranger. To make it fair, you are only allowed 2/3/1 pokemon per fight. This is a test to see how you can fight in unique situations.

These trainers are in traditional Sentai outfits each one themed with the Pokemon they use.

I wanted Type coverage
Gyms are memes anyway

Poison Gyms are so shit

oh and you are able to redo a fight if your pokemon get knocked out until you are out of pokemon, they just get fully healed each new fight.

For example, you can only use 2 pokemon at a time for the first fight, but if you lose the first time, you can use 2 other pokemon in your party. Same with battle 3, you can use the other 3 pokemon in a rematch, and same for the 1on1 match. But all 3 have to be completed one after the other with out any healing or saving.

Shouldermons are some of the cringeworthiest shit in the Pokemon universe.

two alola eggexcutor
this song youtube.com/watch?v=h9yvb03R2qs

Oh I didn't know that. The last Pokemon game I'd played was LG/FR.

I wish gyms were more centralized on a single type of strategy instead of just being predictably monotype.

For instance, a wall team, a team that prevents your pokemon from escaping and uses perish song, a team that uses a shit ton of environmental hazards, a team that uses elaborate baton pass shenanigans, weather effects, a team that forces you to switch between physical and special attacks, a team of Pokemon like DItto and Wobuffet that use your moves against you.... etc.

It would be far more interesting than what we have now, and it would actually teach players about the game.

Is that the smooze?

Prehistoric theme inside a natural history museum.

Gym flunkies are organized in different sections (Hall of Mammals, Oceanography, Geology, etc), with the final room being the Dinosaur exhibit.

Probably would end up rock themed, with maybe an electric or grass pokemon in the hall of mammals to throw people off.

Actually I've decided to switch out Absol with the Hydreigon line.

People tend to forget that this is a game for children as in "children are the main demographic" sure there's a shitton of possibilities and metagame but compared to the vast majority of buyers who will never ever build teams with a multitude of counters and strategies
