Will the update cause you to return to New Leaf?

Will the update cause you to return to New Leaf?

No.

Briefly, if I can get an amiibo for a villager I care about for cheap I might try get back into it properly

No, I zero interest on amiibos nor the cards.

Does the update add or change anything interesting? Last I checked it was just furniture and support for amiibos or cards or some shit.

Didn't they just do this so people would actually buy the Animal Crossing Amiibos? There was practically no use for the fucking things besides 2 shitty games nobody played.

>deleted town several years back to restart
>never did
>update is just furniture and patterns
>need to buy cards to get villagers
No.

Happy Home Designer would have been really good if it didn't have these two GLARING flaws.

1. There is no real reward or penalization for working hard or not at all. Whatsoever.

2. Contest exclusive items and NINTENDO ZONE exclusive items. The actual fucking Nintendo Zone application no longer even runs, so Nintendo forcing you to go to McDonalds or Best Buy for Animal Crossing items is horseshit.

>so Nintendo forcing you to go to McDonalds or Best Buy for Animal Crossing items is horseshit.
Not to mention the majority of locations aren't even up to date/no longer gave a shit so there's a high chance of getting nothing.

You could always do that weird Nintendo Zone hotspot, but then the items are still on a timed basis. Majority of the DLC is through normal WiFi means too, so why lock out the 7-11 and Nintendo Store items to NZ, it's ludicrous.

But Japan loved the game, as did they enjoy Amiibo Festival, so Nintendo doesn't give a fat fuck. This entire direct really seems to be for Japan first and foremost. Now, it's not really a bad thing, I'd argue it's good that Nintendo isn't changing their ways just to cater to the west, but Nintendo knows how to make games aimed towards the west. Look at their games from 2001-2006.

>1. There is no real reward or penalization for working hard or not at all. Whatsoever.

I disliked this at first, too, but I think once you get in the mood for it, you realize that this makes the game chill and comfy as shit. It's all about kicking your feet up and relaxing by just letting your creativty run free without worrying about doing anything wrong.

I don't know, I think it's nice, but there should REALLY be something instated to not make you just put the (two or three) items down and call it a day. Like, even a subtle dialog change would work, but nothing is a shame.

>Museum done
>Gold house
No, there's nothing left to do in the game.
Unless the update makes placing/erasing paths not take fucking ages I won't bother making that 'perfect' town shit.

I honestly don't know how people can sit through placing patterns it's boring as fake as takes ages

That would mean time travel back several months, then doing five days leaps in order to prevent move outs and eventually reach the original date. Fuck that.

Real life roads are fake too and yet they're used all the time.

Yes but only to see the new features. I don't buy amiibo (the only ones I've bought are Shovel Knight and Chibi Robo) and amiibo cards.

Nope, amiibos are really stupid and this update just seems like a cheap gimmick to get people to buy more of them

I actually started a new for old times sake before this, but I don't own a single amiibo. So I don't care.

Perhaps for maybe a week or two

>quit it a week ago because the clock on my 3DS was kind of fucked but based around when I started my village, and I want day and night to move properly in Sun/Moon
>generic holiday release date for this when Sun/Moon is november
I don't know what to do.

nah, I spent hundreds of hours making my town with custom paths lined with specific bushes lining them and getting the best villagers and then I accidentally erased my save when transferring 3DS's

can't bear to start that over.

I lost my cartridge and the idea of returning back to the grind after having all medals and my favorites kind of makes me feel sad, so no.

Holy shit, that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that.
