DOOM 2016

Just beat this, got every log and every secret, What an amazing game.

Sequel or expansion pack when?

I want the next game to have iddqd microtransaction and 2 season passes.

$5 for one hour of godmode, sounds good user, also lets make sure those season passes only cover minor DLC and the major ones still need to be paid for.

got extremely bored of the formula mere two hours into it. Easily the most overhyped game of this year, and absolutely nothing like the original Doom games.

Definitely not for everyone, but after months of rainbow six siege and overwatch, it was a ton of fun to just rip and tear.

I think I found your...problem...

Just what all the guys from work are into, so i kind of just get pulled in not to be the outcast.

The regular encounters sort of became samey in the last couple of hours and only the bosses kept it fresh

I think if they added more enemy types and boss fights towards the end it would've been pretty close to perfect

Yeah i do agree there, it got too easy and the spawn patterns did repeat some it felt.

But for the $28 i spent on it, not complaining, was a great value spent more on worse.

well, it could be worse I guess. I've just never really gotten the whole peer-pressure thing; if I realize early on that a game ain't for me, I get off the thing and let people know.

Not that i hate them, just playing with the guys is the fun part, the games themselves are pretty meh to me.

And yet, it's still the best FPS we had in years

You really haven't played much else than console shit if that is your opinion

Having actual varied levels instead of just the same painkiller style arena battles over and over would've alleviated that problem greatly

Well then, what are some of the best FPS we had in years?

Can't wait for the inevitable Hell on Earth standalone expansion.

I am interested user, what are some other great FPS games? looking for more to play that are just as fun as DOOM.

Are any of the snapmaps worth playing? i tried a few but couldn't find any great ones.

Serious Sam 3 + DLC

Ironically, it started as Croteam's attempt to get a license for Doom 4 from iD.

Killing Floor 2

Have it, just couldn't get into it.

No. The poor thing is super restricted and shit.

I will look into that right now, if i can find another FPS like doom that would be amazing.

SS games have been always known to be quite blatant "Doom clones" since day 1 (or rather, mix and match of various ego shooters of 90s), with the big "difference" being the series' focus being on these fuck-huge enemy mobs you are asked to deal on your own.

SS3 is a good way to start, as story-wise (pfft!) it's a prequel to everything, and kinda tries to give new players a bit smoother landing to the tempo of series in the first few maps.

On top of that, it has tons of great MP modes (including 16p co-op, and 4-player SPLITSCREEN), and it has GIGANTIC options menus for everything you can and cannot imagine.

Sounds great, i've heard of it, just never took the time to look into it.

In your opinion worth the $40 for someone who loved the new doom?

I'd say wait until it's on sale. It's always 80-90% off because Croteam's based.
