I know it's probably been mentioned, but Castle of Illusion is being de-listed and removed from everywhere in about 10 minutes. It's discounted as hell on steam and PSN and whatnot.
This is your last chance to nab a copy before it goes.

Thanks m8 2.25 not bad
And nothing of value was lost
Fuck you. It's a great remake of a great game
sounds like you didn't even give it a try
I bought it when it came out on steam back in 2013 and had a really good time with it. Seems like a good time to replay it.
Already have it on the Genesis
Its fine. Not exceptional. True to the original but has the problems Ducktales Remastered had (Disney wanting narrative and shoving it in making the game flow slower).
That Grant Kirkhope soundtrack is fucking ear sex though.
Why?
probably because sega isn't paying to upkeep the license.
then why have literally no one ever mentioned or talked about it until now?
this is a classic case of wanting what you can't have.
>then why have literally no one ever mentioned or talked about it until now?
Uh we did, we talked about it a lot when it came out three years ago.
prove it
You got this the wrong way round buddy. Burden of proof is on the prosecution, not the defendant.
You prove it never happened.
At least you'll still be able to pirate it, or buy a key from reseller.
no, you're wrong.
you can't prove a negative.
le classic don't have a sister argument.
I'm not wrong because you can't prove I'm wrong. We did talk about castle of illusion, I was there I'm a witness.
If you need chatlogs just fucking google them or check the den. You'll find results and logs to read where you'll see people did in fact discuss this game both before it's release and after.
There's been threads and talk in Sale threads about it.
>hey guys, i dont like video games. am i fitting in yet?
>Buying digital games
I seriously hope you guys don't do this.
>you can't prove a negative
sounds like your assertion is doomed to fail then. You opened by making a claim, the egg is on your face now.
>you can't prove a negative.
There is a visible elephant in your room right now. Do you see one? Good you just proved a negative.
Wait for the first uncracked Denuvo game to be delisted. HAHAHAHAHA HUMANS ARE FUCKED.
why not make it free?
I'll just pirate the Android version
>playing games on a phone
Companies not only have to make a profit, but
they also have to deny profit from everybody else,
no matter the form that profit may take. Be it
money, entertainment value, nutritional value, etc.
It is Hebrew law and we must all abide by it in
first-world countries.
License still expired.
This
>Platformer
>Touch controls
I'm sure Disney will put it back up eventually since they own it and can do whatever they want.
they own the license, but they don't own the game, that was developed by the new defunct sega studios australia, and published by sega.
Disney couldn't bring it back unless sega said so, and disney wouldn't give sega the license for free. So unless sega rebought a licensing period the game isn't coming back user.
its literally this,already confirmed.
>tfw credit card still blocked
fug
You really don't seem to understand Disney's reach and power. Literally no one could stop then from putting up their own Mickey Mouse game. Licensing issues DO NOT apply in this instance because Disney IS copyright and license law.
>Literally no one could stop then from putting up their own Mickey Mouse game.
but...that wouldn't be castle of illusion? it'd be a different game? COI BELONGS to sega. It FEATURES Mickey.
disney couldn't redistribute segas game even if it does feature one of their characters. It's not a matter of copyright of license, it's a matter of them not owning segas game.
They can make their own game sure, or even just buy COI off sega and do what they want with it sure. But I don't think they give a shit enough to go that far.
Sega DOES NOT own anything with Mickey Mouse in it. You're not getting it. All these license and copyright regulations and laws you're talking about were created by Disney in the first place. Literally look it up. They serve them first and foremost. Nobody using a Disney license has control over that product except Disney. Period.
except they own the game to, its not like you think, disney paid to have it made the reason it is getting delisted is a disney vault thing
I knew it was a good idea to buy that game.
Gungeon and DariusBurst are good bonuses tho.
Here's another game that, unless you purchased before it's delisting, you'll never be able to purchase legally ever again.
This is why physical remains superior.
man, it's incredibly unfortunate there's no way to still acquire it via some widely distributed global computer communications network, especially considering that there's no ethical boundaries if one were to acquire it illicitly now
tfw i was about to buy it yesterday then shit happened and got busy untili literally fell asleep and woke up too late to buy it
It's staying in their vault.
i wonder how piracy and delisted titles work
Does anyone even care about Mickey Mouse anymore? I think at one time he was the most recognized character in the world. Kids these days would have a hard time trying to visualize what he looks like if you said his name. His era is over.
>tfw got this and the original game from PS+
Am I good?
I have no idea where you live and what kind of kids you know, but classic disney characters are all over the place and i never saw a kid who didnt know who theywere, even now.
>Does anyone even care about Mickey Mouse anymore?
Disney sure as hell doesn't. When's the last time you saw anything modern with Mickey that would appeal to children 9 or older?
Sony said there is no redownlad if you don't resubscribe before your PS+ is up. So as long as you keep your PS+ paid up on time. You will have it. If not, both are gone from your colletion.
>what is kingdom hearts
Sorry, I meant a cartoon
Let's say I have them downloaded on my PS3.
If I miss my subscription for a bit, but still have them on my PS3 and renew it later, will I have access to it?
Disney has a slew of new Mickey Mouse shorts that run between their tween sitcoms.
Nope. You lose the license and you can't renew it any more if you let your PSN lapse.
>If I miss my subscription for a bit, but still have them on my PS3 and renew it later, will I have access to it?
Nope.
The wonders of digital distribuition + monthly subscription....you rightfully paid for a product but didn't pay one month for the service required to run that priduct? You'll lose the product forever.
Almost sounds like highway robbery
>create game
>a few years later can no longer be sold
the devs must feel depression
At least they patched Ducktales to have the option to disable all the stage cutscenes.
Too bad they never fixed the spotty controls when grabbing vines/chains in mid-air, I lose more lives in the final stage due to missing chains mid-leap than I do anything else.
Disney owns everything made that stars their characters.
Hell, they handed the Castle of Illusion property off to another 3rd party to make a tie-in game to the Epic Mickey series on the 3DS.
That only happens if you got it off PS+ moron. If I legally buy the game on PS3 and let my membership lapse, I'll still have the game forever.
A dying series.
>remake of quackshot never
But that game's already perfect.
