Overwatch settings help
so i got a gtx 1070 and a 1080p 144hz gsync screen and tried overwatch. I got around 80-130 fps. asked around and figured it was because of the render scale being 150%
now i tried 100% and its exactly the same thing. Shouldn't i be getting like 144+ stable fps with a gtx 1070? thats what all the benchmarks and youtube shows anyway.
maybe i should change something in the settings or something cause i always played on low everything and dont know shit about them
here they are
ill play gta v and see how it goes in that maybe its not just overwatch

Now turn off the FPS monitoring and try to determine your FPS.
Oh wait, you can't tell the difference when it's 60+
your monitor is not part of your computer. it is a peripheral.
>windows 10
found your problem
>144hz
>Max settings
Pick one the only thing you need maxed is shadows and that's it.
>frame rate cap
>300
Making this as high as possible doesn't make your FPS go higher, moron. You're supposed to set it to your monitor's refresh rate. Not that it would fix your problem anyway.
Not him, but my 780ti has been getting me 120-144 in very game on max settings. Although, I played yesterday and got frame-rate issues that I haven't experienced before. It would be going from 144 to 70 at random moments, like stuttering and shit.
>commenting derisively on something that makes no difference whatsoever
shut the fuck up, little kid.you have nothing to offer whatsoever so you come in and insult. suck fat dicks.
On a 60hz yeah. On a 144hz monitor you can tell the difference
>every game
I mean every match I've played in overwatch, not every game I've played. Re-reading it looks misleading.
your CPU is the bottleneck here, its low stock clock speeds hurt it and there's not much you can do about that. you should only get the 6500 or a non-K chip in general if you're aiming for just 60fps in which case it'll suffice. you should've bought the 6700k instead and overclocked if you wanted to maintain 144fps in most games with that 1070. your motherboard doesn't support overclocking either so you're a bit out of luck. I have a 4670k at 4.5 GHz and an overclocked 980 Ti which is very slightly faster than your 1070 and with my CPU at stock I couldn't get >100fps in most things but overclocking it fixed that.
retard
also a retard, overclocking my old monitor just from 60hz to 75hz made a very noticeable and pleasant difference. going to a proper 144hz monitor was insane and I'd never go back to 60hz now.
>i5 2500k
>RX 470, underclocked by 30%
>144fps in 1080p , 2 monitors connected
get gud
i though it was fine i picked the mobo and cpu not overclock to save money .. every thread and shit i made about my build everyone said fine now it is that i gotta get a better processor well shit.
at low-medium?
Before taking his word as truth check the CPU usage while testing
How about you don't max every fucking setting if you want 144fps stable, you fucking retard.
how can i check this?
>they have the same GPU as me so performance on my system should be identical!
You do realize there are other factors affecting performance besides your GPU, don't you? Maybe just stick with console gaming.
