Tfw you will never play an RPG as good as New Vegas ever again
Other urls found in this thread:
Yeah. I'll probably be playing RPGs of superior quality
I have, divinity original sin.
>tfw you will never play an RPG as good as New Vegas ever again
It actually hurts.
>divinity original sin.
HOM3 ripoff
*WRPG
a ton of JRPGs beat it easily
>>>/cfog/
GO BACK TO YOUR CANCER HOLE, YOUR SERIES IS SHIT AND DEAD. NV IS OVERRATED UGLY AND BROKEN SHIT. JUST GO.
>New Vegas
>good RPG
But I will
Because I haven't played NV further than leaving the clinic.
I can't decide on mods, and just kept putting it off
Well put
no reason to use mods on your first playthrough. just get anti-crash and play, don't be a fag.
Fuck that shit homie
The graphics are oblivion tier, almost approaching Morrowind tier.
I don't need gameplay mods, just graphic overhauls that never mess right
...
.
the graphics are waaaaaay better than morrowind. you must not have played vanilla morrowind in a long, long time.
Overrated. People hype it up because "muh factions" but they're ultimately going to end with shitty Mass Effect 3 endings
shit gameplay
Care to name a few?
What, and Fallout New Vegas has great gameplay does it?
Witcher 3 is better in every aspect.
Yeah, I'll be playing actual good RPGs, not this broken overrated heap of trash.
You must have not either. Morrowind actually holds up quite well, graphically.
...
Witcher 3 is far better than this garbage
Torment, Bloodlines and Arcanum exist.
Boone is my husbando
Are you okay, buddy? Do you need to talk? How about a glass of water?
Name one.
...
Are you fucking serious? It doesn't. At all. Vanilla Morrowind is bad. Real bad.
I'm not an expert on this topic but there's some drama between /fog/ and /cfog/ it seems and from what I can gather /fog/ is super butthurt that the 1, 2, and NV crowd left and made their own general so they shitpost on /cfog/ as much as possible while /cfog/ just kinda ignores it and discusses video games..
Woah hey I like New Vegas but c'mon it wasn't even great-tier just kind of good tier
It's good, but overrated.
The graphics are terrible.
The map is ugly, small, and The Strip is a dull, boring place that feels unfinished and for whatever reason is divided with loading screens.
The animations are terrible too. It's like they haven't heard of motion capture.
Gunplay is an improvement over FO3 but the guns still feel awful to shoot for the most part.
Voice acting is still shit and for whatever reason there are only a few voice actors between each character. Even Witcher 3 with all of the characters that has had a huge variety of unique voice actors.
/cfog/ poster here.
I don't know know we keep getting shitposts on the general. I just want to discuss video games.
To be fair, a lot of that is because of the engine Bethesda forced them to use.
The strip was literally fucked over by Gamebryo.
I went to the Sup Forums New Vegas threads every now and then, and then when the one thread got moved to /vg/ and became /cfog/ I frequent it because I enjoy it.
I don't know what the hell is up with /fog/, and honestly it might not even BE them. I'm not fucking sure.
I don't even go on /fog/, man.
I wish I could play new vegas for the first time again.
Both /fog/ and /esg/ are dedicated waifu posting garbage.
That's how every general is. Restricted interests and repetitive behavior are literally characteristics of autism. Autism breeds in generals.
Its a good game but its not even the best in the series. There are tons of other RPGs that are better.
Hahaha, calm down Todd.
1 > 2 >>> NV
in terms of gameplay?
probably a couple
in terms of roleplaying?
none, jrpgs are incorrectly named
>Download a Classical Radio mod
>Start the battle for Hoover Dam on House's side.
>tfw The Remnants arrive to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries
Also I'm amazed at how can still find things I never knew about in game six years after its release.
I don't agree, but I respect your opinion.
>tfw you spent an entire night and day playing for the first time
>Tfw starving but still questing
>tfw need to piss bad but still questing
The generals don't have to be like that though, but shitposting attracts more shitposters which attract people who think that shits the norm etc etc.
What about games like Tactics Ogre where you choices actually matter and shape up your character?
>not falling for the NV is good meme
I respect your opinion highly.
I like to "collect" and keep every copy of every game I buy. Just something I do now that I have disposable income.
But New vegas was shit. First copy i had i sold the day after completion. That was at launch. About a year ago i began second guessing myself. "maybe it wasn't that bad after all". Got another copy for $5 at a flea market. Played through main quest again. Noped. Sold it shortly after on ebay.
Fuck that New Vegas shit and fuck you idiots who adore it. Life is short, quit wasting time playing and defending shitty media.
i hope you didnt make this user, because it doesnt make sense at all
Okay blanket statement was wrong then, but in most cases jrpgs are incorrectly named.
Pokemon for instance is considered a jrpg where the only choice the player has is their team, which doesn't impact the story in any way.
I don't need this feel right now
user I got like fifty gigs of reaction images.
next up on things that never happened
>when you finally come to Freeside and quests are everywhere and a robot in a kiosk is selling guns that make you salivate
The main quest is also ass until you get the chip.
i think i must have skipped the faction armor pop up because on my first playthrough i had no idea what it did. i picked up a set of legion recruit armor in nipton and i had to fight every single person i encountered. it was a very confusing time. i wish i still had that save.
I don't see why it's not good, it feels like 2 but with Bethesda's engine. I prefer the gameplay of 1 and 2 over NV, in NV it feels like a shitty FPS with RPG elements. The Wasteland is boring to walk around. I suppose you could quick transport to other locations but then you'll never get random encounters. Game also looks ugly as fuck, and no mods will ever fix that.
Refusing to discriminate for the sake of quality stains your memetic credentials.
>Mod the shit out of the game
>Barely play it
hope you at least tried to play it vanilla first.
Well fuck you buddy
You want me to fix some random reaction image on my hard drive or some shit?
I played it vanilla on console years ago.
No, just letting you know the amount of data in your folder means nothing when buoyed by low quality content.
C'mon man you think I'd just go online and tell a bunch of lies just to seek the validation and approval of anonymous strangers on a Laotian beat-boxing board?
Why bother? Mods can't fix a broken terrible game.
You might get some people with that bait
Already got one, it seems.
You're right. Good thing New Vegas is good even without mods.
Maybe, but that's dead too!
>singleplayer game
>dead
What did he mean by this?
It's pretty obvious he meant the franchise.
>tfw no fleshed out legion
Actually, I've already got a few more replays of New Vegas planned.
Well too bad because I made one just for you.
saved. i bane post frequently, thank you
>Why bother? Mods can't fix a broken terrible game.
With this and without the massive early release bugs the game would have been perfect.
Still one of the best rpgs to this day though.
mods are there to make things more visually appealing and minor bug fixes
i wish more people would realize this
>tfw will never play new vegas for the first tiem again
But i can replay new vegas
>tfw will never play new vegas for the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth or fourteenth time again either
I have fallout 4...
>will never experience dead money for the first time again
i'm making new traits. it's hard to find ways to balance them and make them fit with the themes in the game.
also trying to make use of unconventional statistics like incorporating karma and changing the effects of commonly used consumable items.
Does the game allow you to solve situations through non-combat interaction like speechcraft skills?
I'm playing DaS III right now though?
Age of Decadence
why would you ever want to do that shit?
>game has hundreds of weapons
>can become an unstoppable killing machine
>instead chooses to use words to resolve conflicts
>mere. unfun. words. when he could have a shootout
Which is an action game that doesn't even feature any skills that aren't related to fighting things.
You haven't played a lot of RPGs, have you?
>mfw I beat Fallout 3 a couple months ago
>mfw I WILL play New Vegas for the first time and there's nothing you can do to stop me
xD
Well it's not really that type of game, it's a SRPG. Spoilers ahead:
Very early on in the game you are given a choice to slaughter villagers for various reasons which I won't go into and this ends up being the first meaningful choice about what type of path you will take in the game. It's basically Law vs Chaos, stuff you would find in a game like SMT.
Does New Vegas have worse world building than the Trails series?
>talk-fu
>not fun
Because that's what makes combat fun in the first place and the choice to fight people meaningful.
It's more fun to kick ass when the game doesn't force you to but it's your own choice.
I mean, there's
>"Use diplomacy, pick this one dialog option to defuse the situation and that's it. That's the game."
and then there's
>"insult him, liquefy him in a critical hit, and walk out like a badass motherfucker"
>it's not really that type of game
If it's not that type of game, why are you comparing it to New Vegas in the first place?
>mere. unfun. words. when he could have a shootout
Like taking candy from a baby
But I wasn't, I was responding to the part about
>in terms of roleplaying?
>none, jrpgs are incorrectly named
