Boys I need your help. I want to play through the entire Metal Gear series but I don't own a console. What should I do
>Buy a PS2 and buy original discs off eBay >Buy XBOX One and use 360 Legacy collection >Emulate
I don't even know if the legacy edition for the 360 is compatible with XBOX One. Is the entire series even on PS4? I'd miss the first one buying a PS2?
As I said I don't own a console. Wish there was a PC collection on Steam.

IM NOT YOUR DAMN MOM NIGGA GET REAL

Buy a cheap ps3 and get the legacy collection.
Ian King
Buy a PS3 and buy all the discs. Either that or emulate.
Carter Ramirez
Buy a ps3 or 360? Those are cheap now, especially if you find a base model with the 60gb...i found a 360 at a thrift store for 10 bucks.
Blake Wright
Emulate all of them. The only one that isn't emulatable (4) isn't even worth anything.
Gabriel Lopez
Buy a PS3 and play all the game prior to MGSV there. The first three games + Peace Walker also emulate pretty well on PC if you use software rendering on PCSX2.
Hunter Rivera
The PS3 will 100% get you the entire series. I'd recommend playing V on something newer though, if possible.
Kayden James
Buy PS2 and mcfreeboot that shit
James Collins
Get it on ps3. The HD collection contains the original two metal gear games, metal gear solid 2, 3 & peace walker. Metal Gear solid 1 & the vr missions is available on the psn store.
Austin Perry
MGS2=MGS1>MGS3>MGSPW>MGS4>MGSV
Oliver Cruz
Buy a PS3 and get the legacy collection. It's the only console that has every game in the series on it.
Gabriel Moore
But no one asked your opinion about that.
Connor Smith
I got a cheap ps3 recently, good worth picking up for cheap. There's still a lot of console/ps3 exclusives worth checking out.
Jaxon Rivera
Legacy Collection is a PS3 exclusive, friend. But yeah, I would recommend getting that.
Nathaniel Walker
Fantastic taste
Logan Cook
Emulate and skip 4, PO and AC!D
Wyatt Powell
360 doesn't have the legacy collection because MGS1 and 4 were never released for it.
Get a cheap PS3 and buy legacy new, not used, because a few of the games (MGS and MGS VR) are only available through a code that comes with legacy.
Ryan Baker
Also play them in release order, not chronological. The story is much better that way.
Noah Price
The first two actually have PC ports. How well do they run on modern windows? Are you better off just emulating?
Wyatt Garcia
The first one emulates pretty well. After playing the first one you can emulate The Twin Snakes which is a remake for the GCN with updated graphics and a few gameplay tweaks.
MGS 3 is a little tough to emulate because afaik it was really pushing the PS2 hardware to its limit at the time. IIRC 4 is a PS3 exclusive so your best bet is to do this Because Legacy comes with every single canon release up to 2012.
Liam Bell
PS3 for all of them. That's what I did. Even V.
Levi Harris
How was MGSV on ps3?
Isaac Martinez
not him but other than the fact that cutscenes were pretty choppy actual gameplay was fine
