It's a mod, but Star trek Armada 3 is the definitive version of Sins imo.

Bridge Commander is fucking amazing as well.

Star Trek Online with Agents of Yesterday is fun just from a visuals standpoint.

You will figure out by the end of the third season that the best thing about DS9 are the side characters.

Kira was absolutely the worst thing about DS9. I felt the same way about her as I did about Tasha Yar in TNG, but at least SHE had the decency to leave early into the show. Except for the stupid time travel baby bullshit.

I hated her character. She was supposed to come off as empowered and headstrong, but it all felt like she was condescending while being ignorant.

I don't know much about Star Trek outside of the movies but the last movie was pretty bad.
People say the second one was worse but at least that had a decent villain. The villain in the recent movie literally monologues on why friendship is for the weak and how their bonds make them weaker. The movie also suffered from rewrite issues like dropped subplots and characters. The main villain had two lieutenants with actual names but they just dissapeared in the third act.
