What are your opinions Obduction, the new game that cyan released?

What are your opinions Obduction, the new game that cyan released?

is it fun?

If you have played Myst then I think its pretty fun, but its hard

its great

ye

>but its hard
there is ONE puzzle that could be considered harder than the others
I really dont think its that hard, I believe you could even finish this in one sitting going in blind

This. The only puzzle I had to look up was how to get the real ending

I thought the setting and background were really cool but the game is too easy. Every planet should have had a puzzle at the end of it as complex as the maze on Maray.

a 10 hour session is a bit much

seriously nigga?

the bugs swarming the battery, the mentioning of the device working like the swappers (needing a constant battery supply to work) and you still didnt catch that?

I liked it and I would back another Cyan game as well. I really hope we see more first-person puzzle games as polished as The Witness and Obduction.

dont forget talos principle

that game had god-tier writing

>buttons, switches and lights on the front of the box are meaningless
>letter buttons in the right column are meaningless
>written code on the back of the box is useless
>the numbers embossed into the number display panel are't even close to the correct combination
>nope, turns out the solution is found written down on a piece of paper not to far away, just like every other puzzle in the game

I was so disappointed. The whole time I was trying to solve it thinking to myself 'man this is a really complex puzzle'. Nah tho just kidding literally the whole box is just one big red herring and the solution is simple as dogshit. I feel so god damn cheated.

Yeah, I should have read the diaries more carefully

that entire box was a literal joke

I had a good laugh

It's how you unlock the easter eggs if you're a backer. If you spent enough money they put your picture in the game, then they sent you a code to put into that box. When you do you can go back to Farley's and the projector will be showing your picture. That, and it's a joke.

Yes. With the benefit of hindsight, it was kind of funny, in a 'fart joke' kinda way.

I did thoroughly enjoy dropping and smashing it though.

>then they sent you a code to put into that box.
Neat, didn't know that.

Another boring overpriced walking sim

who cares

>I only watched the first 15 min with no further research

>filthy casual

Is it stated anywhere within a game why the Mofang suddenly started to be aggressive?
I wanted to know and thought it would be revealed closer to the end of the game, but the whole motivation of conflict remained a mystery to me.

it is speculated that the mofang witnessed how awful mankind was when they were warped and thus didnt trust the humans

if you enter full code it falls off the handle and as i understand it it can be anything just that it should be full of numbers

but as any sane person I bothered to look behind it

>he reads moonrunes
Found the cyka

All of the races were aware of the fact that they weren't all likely to survive when the tree system reached its natural conclusion. Farley alludes to this in her journal. The Mofang were insistent that they deserved to survive the most, so they planned to wipe the other races out with those WMDs.

Yeah, same to you, you know that game sets it according to windows location?

also if you pirated it

>make a walking simulator because that's literally the epitome of your skills
>call it a video game
>get butthurt when people don't consider your virtual walking simulation as a game

...
