What did he mean by this?
They never made Episode 3 because their playtesters were unable to finish Episode 2 no matter how hard they tried to hold their hand.
>the one tester who kept turning right in the guardian's lair forced them to remove "mazelike elements"
Just imagine if they had to play half life 1 they'd never beat it.
whatever you do don't listen to portal's commentary.
Half life 3 will happen when Gabe dies and the new CEO will want to make more money as Valve slowly drifts towards being like EA.
Why?
its full of even more 'we had to re-design this section because players are fucking retarded' commentaries.

Why should they make Episode 3? That's a risk, why take it if they can make a dozen new weapon skins in an hour or two and earn millions off of that?
@350604853
xD
i'm sure they make enough money from steam market and sales that they could make hl3 for free if they wanted to
What was the last video game this fat fuck made?
Reminder they didn't make L4D or CS GO
Reminder Portal, Alien Swarm and TF2 were made by hired modders
I might go do it to alleviate my boredom
I like making myself angry recreationally, It's part of the reason I frequent the DCS forums
Yeah, but it's a triumph of teaching you how to play as a result.
This meme should die. Episode 3 and Half-Life 3 pose no risk to Valve even if it fails to sell completely
HL1 is incredibly linear.
That Stryder battle is the highlight of the whole series, but I never really see anybody talk about it.
>It's been almost a decade since episode 2 was released
>3 years from now and its development time will be longer than that of DNF
What the FUCK went wrong, Valve?
Even if Half Life 3 ever came out, it would be shit and filled with micro-transactions, so who cares?
that would imply it is under development
development of a game costs money, it's obvious they're not doing it
