Finally a good racing series for PC. Who else is getting this?
Finally a good racing series for PC. Who else is getting this?
I stopped playing Forza Horizon 2 about 2/3 of the way in.
The experience was just starting to repeat itself too much.
Not wholly convinced to get this but if I do it'll be on XB1 since I can GCU it (I'd say Amazon Prime but I don't know if I want it before Black Friday).
>good racing series
>not Trackmania
Not gonna get it unless they release it on steam.
>repeat itself
That's 90% of racing after a while. The online modes are fun, though. I just wish there was a very populated racing open world multiplayer game. Test Drive Unlimited did this ok with about 8 players that would randomly be in your single player experience.
Never going to happen. The Microsoft store is linked with the Xbox platform. They don't want to branch off games out of their ecosystem.
Racing games can stay interesting if they take you to different places but Forza Horizon 2 was like "go here, then go here, then go here, then we go back to the first place".
Meh. If you're looping back to the first spot that's dull.
Well I am not going to buy it then. Simple as that.
Then tell me what racing game you will play instead?
None. I would like to play FH3 but if it's not going to happen, well, then it's not going to happen.
I should add I like Forza Horizon in concept (an open-world racer that is built on the framework of a sim racer) but I feel like the first game stayed interesting longer (plus it had a more cutthroat atmosphere compared to FH2, where the "we're all friends here" setting felt a little lackluster).
Enjoy PCfags. It's actually worth every bit of praise it gets.
I have only played FH2 on 360 so I'm hoping this FH3 will be a big step up now that I have a good pc.
Tekken 7 is coming to Steam despite being part of Xbox Anywhere.
Anyone buying the £80 ultimate edition?
>Windows Store exclusive
>Probably UWP format
Microsoft is, without a doubt, worse than Hitler.
Redout just came out. It's not the same kind of racing game, but I was wondering if any of you tried it. There's a torrent on TPB.
>I might give a Microsoft game on PC aftet all these years
>check Windows store for preorder info
>the game isn't even in front page
>confusing information on its order site
>it doesn't even list which cars are abaliable in the bonus packages
Jesus, a fan site would have done better job selling it for them.
I'll probably wait until it's on Steam like Quantum Break, there's no point in supporting the shitty UWP store.
>tfw stick with The Crew on glorious Win7.
That looks good though.
>T7
>Xbox play anywhere
Source?
Just get it on amazon. Digital code, which for some reason costs more than a physical copy. Okay miIcrosoft.
>look up in the Windows store
>game costs 300 in my local currency
>when the normal price for new releases is 100
Nah fuck it, I was interested but the price made change my mind, I won't be buying this shit.
I don't like the idea of the horizon games aka burnout paradise but forza.
I just want more mainline forza.
>legal racing
No thanks
>Never going to happen
>when Quantum Break is already coming to Steam
kek
They always alternate between Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon games. PC will probably be getting FM7 in 2 or so years, alongside the Xbox.
The Crew is pretty underrated and fun
Forza is really the pinnacle of racing games atm tho.
>PC will probably be getting FM7 in 2 or so years, alongside the Xbox
Forza 6 is already on PC though, still in beta but either way they'll be releasing the full game soon.
FM6 Apex isn't the same as FM6 for xbox. It's far more limited, less cars and less tracks. There's also no tuning or wheel support currently. Don't know if they plan to expand on it past their beta.
I play Valentino Rossi: The Game a lot the days.
Forza Motorsport isn't a sim racer though.
If that's true that sounds like an indictment for crossplay (since Xbox One and Windows Store players can fight each other, it would be retarded to lock out Steam players from fighting Windows Store players).
They already said they'll release it as a full game.
The Crew could have been great but
>Ubisoft
Next you'll tell me NFS 2015 is unplayable because of always online.
you can get f1 2016 for the pc though
Those ones are third party exclusives, that's why they got on steam later.
>published by Microsoft
>third party exclusive
By that logic then Forza is third party too since it's developed by Turn 10 and published by Microsoft.
turn 10 is a subsidiary of MS, unlike Remedy, who is independent.
NFS2015 is the best game in the series since Carbon The Run's premise and soundtrack were god-tier though even if the game was shit but that's not exactly high praise.
yeah but the point is that the game is literally published by Microsoft
They said they would be releasing more on steam.
Quantum whatever also came to steam.
and the point is that MS wants their first party games on Windows store only, partly for strategic reasons, partly for xbox live integration (or other apps, like Forza 6).
3rd party exclusives (published by MS or not) use a different strategy, which is exclusive for windows store for some months (usually 3) before being on steam for more revenue.
I...feel that way too.
But then I also like Criterion's NFS games too, which always causes problems on Sup Forums.
>that spoiler
I had spurts of fun with Rivals and HP2010 but power-ups in an NFS game were just weird. MW2012 on the other hand was inexcusable garbage that tried to piggyback off of the most popular game in the series. at least to me All three games had garbage soundtracks too.
how the fuck do you get it? Can I register an amazon copy on a European account?
>Windows store
Hell no.
Brings back memories from Wipeout but it's good on its own too.
The thing I'm concerned about is if crossplay will get in the way.
Like, maybe only singleplayer games will come to steam
but Gears of War wont, because it uses Xbox's online system
Dude, Horizon 1 was just better and less repetitive, that's all there is to it imo
All 2 has is a better car roster.
GameStop says reducing digital price would harm their business and harm the industry.
All Xbox One games/codes for games work worldwide.
If I buy it digitally on XONE, I get it on PC too, right?
I may get a key, they are awfully cheap on G2A and the like.
