Literally do you not have google?

i think they affect how the stats will be distributed when it levels.

Yes. They boost one stat by 10% and decrease another by 10% or nothing at all.

For anything other than online play and maybe battle tower things no

10%+ for one stat, 10%- for another.
So you wont want a nature that reduces your speedy attackers speed.

>there are people to stupid to use google to check if they are right

They don't matter in-game. If you want to beat the Elite 4 and catch everything, you don't have to worry about them.

>spoonfeeding the most basic shit
Hay guise! Wut is supa DOOPA effective against bugs?

I don't think they matter, but to me personally, I'd rather have a pokémon that's proud of itself instead of one that trashes around.

As long as you aren't autistic, you're good.

>autism

They only matter if you have severe autism.

He was asking if natures mater, he never asked what it does. People are explaining why it matters.

If your pokemon is Naive it will be more likely to get tricked into a pyramid scheme or buying timeshares
It's a very in depth system

Rock, fire and flying.

fire and fly.
also rock

Your parents gave up on you a long time ago didn't they?

In game? No

Battling? Very yes

But mah buttafrly got hit for MEGA DAMAAAAGE when a Pikamchu thundermsashed (lol egarapta ref!) it.

Do you have the screenshot of the guy who wanted a Location who was proud of its power? Something along those lines that at least.

That's because it's part Flying, which makes it weak to Electric moves

What are you trying to prove

Lucario, not location. Fucking autocorrect.

Back to Sup Forums, faggot

...

Bigger bugs of course.

>Always use a core team of six Pokemon that I never swap out (unless I need an HM slave)
>Always save before getting one of my six, so I can make sure to get a nature that fits with the personality I picture them having
>Don't give a fuck what the stat effects are

I don't know about what location he wanted it in but
Here you go

after setting foot in the meta, I simply cannot do this anymore
used to, but not anymore
it's a pretty bad feel

you must be bored
why don't you fap

I suppose I don't got much to worry about
been catching and breeding a fuckton of mons for the past 200 hours

you know you just reminded me
Naive is the most prevalent nature out of all the Pokémon I've caught/bred with over 29 cases - 2 evolutions

It matters competitively. it's better to play Pokemon Showdown instead of breeding for them btw

The fact that the kind of people who consciously type like this think they're the ones who are doing Sup Forums a favor boggles my mind. Get the fuck back to gamefaqs.

what even is a Pokémon ?

Pocket Monster

>being elitist over childs rpg
>just use anything smogon banned and the whole meta game is useless

Natures are for pokemon RPers as a type of person you are in bed

There's an entire board dedicated to it.
You can find out more there.

They affect stats. There are neutral natures which don't affect them, and there are natures that boost one while hindering another. The most common use of natures is boosting one of the attack stats and hindering the other if the Pokemon isn't going to ever need the stat from the attack stat being hindered.

Exactly what makes you so angry of people simply answering a question?

>make a semi-professional looking junior mod message
>don't even bother to accent the E in Pokémon
bravo Sup Forums

>Played only up to sapphire and ruby
>Always just catch pokemon
>Don't give a fuck about anything about them

Since when pokemon has become so fucking competitive?

Not ingame, no

since they first discovered ivs in fucking gen1.

since the beginning but you don't have to partake if you don't want to

you tell me
I'm just shiny hunting to pass the time
but oh well
everyone gets off from something

Fuck off back to Sup Forums, you stupid faggot. you retards get butthurt over something stupid.

I'm still mad about megas.

I don't know if it does, but i prefer to have big strong pokeman (torterra for example) who are brave, feminine looking pokeman to be quick or timid and to actually be female (rapidash for example).
I've been quite autistic about it and savescum a lot so i don't waste money on balls.

Holy shit, Moar?

what's wrong with megas?
they seem dope
then again I haven't played anything Gen VI so I'm in no position to judge

Holy shit that's autistic
i do that too

nothing really

I had to reset my DS countless times in my current Platinum playtrough because my fucking turtwig was always either a female or had a shitty nature. Would have liked a calm one, but settled on a brave.

>what's wrong with megas?

I have autism about every one of my Pokemon having to be male. I don't know why; I guess I can't see females as being my "bros" I go on adventures with.

Depends on how they look really. A mare is better than a non-mare, if you know what i'm saying.

Everything wrong with megas, outside their non-permanence ingame, is shared by evolutions.

>tfw continuously resetting for a nature that looks appropriate for certain pokemon
>Relaxed Swampert
>Jolly Azumarill
>Brave Tyranitar
>Naughty Toxicroak
>Brave Stoutland
>Timid Espeon
and the list goes on
this is a fucking autism simulator

what do you guys think of the revealed actual height/size of the new pokemon?

Of course if matters you cuck, how can i play my choice band azumarill without adamant nature?

it's not just you
it's every dude who plays Pokémon that gets ticked by female mons
girls have no problem with either gender and neither do I
I just want my Typhlosion to Flamethrower the fuck out of everything that moves

That Gumshoos doesn't make sense, it should be double the size of Yungoos.

Huh, every guy I've known in real life that plays Pokemon hasn't shown signs of caring about their Pokemon's gender. That's why I assumed I was a special case.

not unless you have autism

I've thought since I was a kid and still think to this day that a 4X super effective attack (Fire attack against ferrothorn) should say "It's Super DUPER Effective!"

>been catching and breeding a fuckton of mons for the past 200 hours
Are you breeding without Everstones or something?
I mean, if you're breeding, why not at least get the Nature you want? No need to go full autism (yet), especially in any gen before 6th, but just getting a poke with a good nature is a pretty significant advantage.

ah, but this is my autism kicking in
I'd rather they all be unique
whether the offspring is either a papa or mama's boy is just a bonus

Aha, your autism is of a different sort then, makes sense.
I've degenerated so far that I can only breed for perfect or basically perfect things.
But I enjoy it, so all's fine.

Flying, Rock and Fire

>Volcarona, one of the biggest bugs, is also part Fire type
>A lot of the big bugs are part Flying type or know Flying type moves
Well, you're not wrong

That's a Z-move, retard

it was a reaction webm, retard

Steel, or was it called iron? xD
Lol i dunno

Technically, a few of those natures actually increase and decrease the same stat by 10%, canceling eachother out.

What really matters is if it's proud of its power

There's nothing wrong with a guy wanting a little personality to his pokemon. 1 IV is not going to make a significant difference in battle.

>Lurantis being that small
HOW WILL MY DICK FIT INSIDE HER

Most people just don't like the idea of them. There are some thatcare also pretty strong and warped the meta around them, basically requiribg you to use them for super professional play.
Me personally, I don't like them so i simply just don't use them.

Depends on the stat and the situation.
If it's Speed, you're fucked. HP can suck too, depending on vulnerability to entry hazards, status effects and using Substitute.

for anyone interested

>Getting this autistic over some dude's question about a children's RPG game.
Pokémon is serious business guyz.

I don't see how people find the time to EV train entire teams
I did exactly one (Gardevoir in D/P) and got burnt out on it
The breeding, the resetting stats, all of it just takes too much time

And forget about IVs, what a shitshow those are

It became ridiculously easy to do in Gen 6 and Gen 7 is looking to make it even easier but before that I just used Pokegen

Which is nothing at all.

No yeah they ridiculously streamlined the process, which I'm kinda glad for
Its a shame I never really did what little endgame content there was in X/Y

I beat the game, transferred all of my Diamond/White/HeartGold Mons to it when Pokemon Bank launched and left it at that

Honestly, I always prefer pokemon with the "Proud" nature.

Here is my reasoning. In order for someone to be proud, they need a certain intellectual development. A pokemon that is proud of its power dominates it.

>TFW always catch multiple Pokemon and go with the ones with the least shit nature now.

I can't even replay Fire Red without resetting for a Modest/Timid eevee.

Since gen 1. The old stat exp system was so grindy that anyone with access to Stadium and its Dodrio mode was at a huge advantage. That's why Stadium 2 made you work your ass off to unlock Dodrio mode for Gen 2 since the gen 2 Elite 4 was the best place for stat grinding back then.

my Noctowl is brave by nature and is proud of its power
I'm 140% sure I scored

Why wouldn't you care about natures? They're piss easy to breed/save scum for. You dont need to be a smogonfag to appreciate some stat boosts.

Autistic /vp/ fag who's bored here. Do you have a favourite you'd like a suped of version of? People seem fond of my Dratini's that grow up to be Extreme Speed users with Multiscale.

Pokerus + Bracers makes everything really fucking easy. Not to mention there's areas in B2/W2 that have 100% encounter rates for Pokemon with certain EV's.

one point of speed absolutely does make a difference and since proud of its power means its highest stat is attack and at most 30, that Lucario can also not have perfect speed which is a massive disadvantage

well if anything I do have a soft spot for Lonely Pokémon
they're just so...
lonely
