UMK3 was great---the perfect match of MK oddity and overly-aggressive dial-a-combos. Not the best competitive fighter ever, but fun.
When I was playing in an online UMK3 league via MAME netplay by go to characters were:
1)Human Smoke
2)Robo Smoke
3)Ermac
4)Sektor (for casuals/fun)
Played a lot of Stryker as well.
