This is why I fucking hate white people.

Yeah, whiny fucks can't just enjoy a game.

Open world fags are the worst
also Amazing Mirror

they are enjoyable, but they're overrated as hell.

>Complaining about a game series that is meant to be fun with some challenges that still makes it enjoyable.
Next thing you'll tell me you hate Donkey Kong or that both of these games aren't hard enough for ya.

THIS IS NOW A DEDEDE THREAD

>>easy as shit
>>linear
>>literally made for babbies
>>controls awkwardly for a platformer

These all apply almost all Nintendo games

...

For some reason or another, it's super big in the LGBT community and Kirby has become a rather iconic symbol for gay men.

DEDEDE HE'S THE NAME YOU SHOULD KNOW
DEDEDE HE'S THE KING OF THE SHOW

>complaining about 2d platformer being linear

Never played a Kirby and I have a hacked 3ds , so i have plenty of options and this guide, should I follow it? Do you recomend any particular one to start with?

You're an idiot. Nintendo basically invented both the concept of a 2D platformer and how it's supposed to control.

Either listen to the flow chart & start from Super Star since it has a number of different gameplay modes to choose from making it so you'll probably find one you like the most which will you lead you to another game, start from the beginning (Dream Land 1) or start from Adventure since it's the first game to feature copy abilities. Like the notes say though, if you ever want to try Dream Land 2, 3 or 64 play those 3 in order.

Just routine for me, I only like it for the lore and 4th wall breaking. They're little 5 hour jrpgs to me.

Wrong with that?

jrpgs?

japanese role playing games

Literally never played a Kirby game, what would be a good one to start with?

>literally made for babbies

I like all of those things so that's why.

How can one man be so wrong?

They can't beat demanding games.

Honestly the only flaw with the game, can't comprehend people liking lazy level design. It just invites backtracking.

Ah, I stupidly didn't bother reading much. Thanks, user.

I like the series. Unless you are totally against it, it's consistently good, with all games being at least okay, without serious stinkers. I've encountered people who like Mirror more than the rest, and I personally dislike 64 and love Squeak. The variety of opinions on the best and worst games just shows how consistently good the series is.

Donkey Kong is a dumb gorilla.

why do i keep seeing this post

...

I dont like Kirby games because of how samey they get, which thankfully robobot actually did something new for a change.

But before that one they were mostly shit.

I have no idea. I don't hate it, but it's aggressively boring. It literally makes me sleepy.

>non-linear level design is somehow more lazy than linear level design

>controls awkwardly for a platformer
no

Yes it is, putting a bunch of levels with warps in them and calling it 'connected' or 'non-linear' is lazy.

and making a level that moves strictly in one direction is lazier.

hahaha, oh you're actually serious.

How do you know which is lazier?

hahaha, oh you're actually serious.

Do not shit on the Kirby franchise ever again! This series mostly delivers.

I enjoyed it when I was a kid but I just couldn't bring myself to play a Kirby game again for all the reasons you listed. They still have a special place in my heart though

Kirby games aren't bad they are just really mediocre but consistent.

How are you posting from prison?

How do you? You're the one making the claim.

>easy

Hmph... whatever you say, kid... let's see you try this on for size.........

I only like Adventure, 64, and Return to Dreamland myself.

Because I've worked on designing levels.

Obviously, one can design a non-linear series of levels in a lazy way, and it will be confusing, directionless, and ultimately boring, but designing an interesting space that the player can explore takes a fair amount of forward thought and care to make sure the player is always directed in their goal while also ensuring that the player has some sense of what the overall space is like, while linear levels that teach, combine, and twist ideas can sort of just be designed "by ear." Obviously, there's some middle ground to be found between "going in literally any direction" and "travelling along an actual line," but that's how it generally works.

>Obviously, one can design a non-linear series of levels in a lazy way, and it will be confusing, directionless
So like Amazing mirror? Because lazy != confusing

Yes, exactly like Amazing Mirror.

>lazy != confusing
Lazy, one-track thinking when designing non-linear levels is basically guaranteed to create a really confusing layout.

>but I'm totally right
No, fuck off. The more you open your mouth only the more evident it gets you are extremely ignorant.

It's some non-sequitur shit that isn't even as informing as you make it out to be. Confusing = Confusing. Nothing more, nothing less. Non-linear = backtracking

>but I'm totally right
You're not even making an argument, you're just sort of claiming you're right and leaving it at that.

Just go in order of release, the flowchart jumps around too much

Seriously?

Idk, I just play kirby for the lore.

And now you've ceased trying completely. Are we done, here?

You're the one that isn't replying to what I'm saying while outing your newfaggotry. What's there to 'try'? You're only projecting.

>newfaggotry
the fuck is this even coming from

>You're only projecting.

If anything, just start with super star and go from there. That's the main thing you should take from that flowchart.

See? again you're again moving the goal posts. Done yet?

Okay, guess I'm getting trolled by a schizophrenic.
