How the fuck do I get rid of my CRT?

How the fuck do I get rid of my CRT?

You don't, you piece of shit.

You can't.
CRT, not even once.

Sit it out on the curb or give it to Goodwill. Or just dump it somewhere.

Goodwill no longer accepts crts last I checked

you can take it to a recycling center or something but that just means that it'll sit in a landfill in china instead of in a landfill near you

What brand and model? You got that component? You got that s-video?

So? Just go by after hours and sit it by the door. It's not like there will be anyone there to stop you.

Car boot sale.

Keep it for retro games if you don't emulate, or give it to your local 'melee community'.

Clean it, throw in a Gamecube + Smash and sell that shit on craigslist or ebay

>WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T PICKUP MY 500 POUND LIGHTBULB FOR FREE DOWN 3 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS
>THERE'S HIPSTERS THAT PAY GOOD MONEY FOR THESE
>I'M DOING YOU A FAVOR YOU FUCKING HACKS
>CHARITY MY ASS

I don't play old games. It feels weird playing something made before you were born.

Kek

>I don't play old games
you ain't my nigga

I guess you don't read old books either. Hell, you probably don't read at all.

Reminder that unless your CRT falls under one of these criteria, it's worthless.
>pretty much anything from the Sony Trinitron line
>BVMs and PVMs
>over 24 inches as a 4:3 set, or over 36 inches as a widescreen one
>most PC CRTs are about the same, so whatever you can get

>reading books

If I wanted to read a book I would walk like an Egyptian to my nearest pyramid & dictate some hieroglyphs instead of reading the papyrus jew like a fucking plebeian.

Just take it to a recycling center of some sort. If you don't have car or other means for transport, you could just try to give it out for free but I doubt there's many who wants your CRT. Unless it's something top tier CRT nostalgia stuff.

>this post
i think this is the first time i've actually laughed from reading something here.

The ikegami series is pretty good. You act like sony was the only company that made high end CRTs.

>wanting an over 24" CRT
Are you insane?

HD, arcade cabs, there's a lot to like. They're obviously not for everyday use.

Another person who realizes CRTs over 24 inches have geometry & convergence problems.

Well those are arcade monitors. They're not really the same thing.
