This is pretty good

This is pretty good

>yet another fast wipeout game
tfw nothing ever tries to play like Fzero

This is PRETTY FUCKING good.
Also is it me or is the Takatora what'shisname shit?

idk how F-Zero plays but Redout doesn't play like Wipeout

Well with Wipeout, think of floaty spaceship vehicles on rather narrow lanes, with FZero, think of grounded bumpercars on pretty wide tracks for 30 racers.

It's like a compromise between Fzero and Wipeout

No weapons bullshit and much faster Wipeout

>thinks fzero is different from other futuristic racing games

how many tracks, does it have offline play vs. AI and if so, is it rubberband AI?

It looks good but it all hinges on how much the AI cheats.

>has never played F-Zero

Does this trash have any advanced tech to actually git gud in? Why does every track I've seen so far look like you barely need to turn at all?

Is it more fun than Distance?

>That fps drop before passing the fog

Oh so it's happening for other people as well.

This, i love how it looks, but most tracks i've seen offer little to no challenge.

>tfw my rig can barely run this at all
Fucking hate this computer, and I fucking hate spending money
The skill ceiling doesn't seem particularly high, but even then making the turns is usually a skill in itself. The crafts control very different compared to other ag racers.

I did play a racing game with floating vehicles taken place in the future with fast movement and speed boosts on the track

I haven't noticed any cheating by the AI yet. I've noticed they make more mistakes when you are behind them though and they make less mistakes when you are ahead.

Star Wars Pod Racer?

Your and idiot

>No weapons bullshit
So literally no way to fight up positions then?

Yes

its called going fast

offline has a career mode w/ 75 events and other options

20 tracks. AI is sort of rubber bandy but fair.

>rubber bandy
lol k

>Guy ahead goes fast
>You get bumped in the back
>GG for 4 minutes

k

Class IV seems to have more rubberbanding than others, but I noticed in Class III it's like the opposite of rubberbanding. If you get into first early everyone seems to slow down and I destroy them by miles, if someone manages to get into the front they are fucking gone and wont be seen again for the rest of the race.

I can't tell if you're serious or if you're being retarded.
But honestly the best way to race is to beat your own times, you're not going to win every single race, improve your own routes and techniques, until nobody you can consistently get first places.
If the guy gets ahead of you and doesn't make a mistake then he deserves to win.

you probably just suck at class IV, i found it the easiest to shit on the ai and get platinums with

What if instead of "take damage and 75% of your current speed lost" it was slightly warioware esque for more like 30% of speed and some damage IF you fail to apply whatever counter move e.g. sticking to the wall/inside, letting go of accelerator briefly/etc?

Some people like pure races without gimmicky bullshit.

Yeah but I would never bother with that with random strangers just because pure races are basically time trials.
The only game I find to do that right is Trackmania just because it's easy to whip up fucking thousands of tracks and you just put that shit on random 5 minutes for best time and instant restarts.

If you can get the exact same effect offline why bother online? Netcode and getting screwed by starting grid doesn't seem fair nor interesting to compensate.
