Partly niggers, partly because it's a massive departure/shift/shitting on from the previous games, which focused on realism and a clear historical setting/crime outfit as opposed to one that was non-existent in the area being portrayed (A good portion of African related mob activity occurred on the East Coast.) They took away from that and replaced it with a setting and style, while fine on its own, only serves to piss off all the previous fans while deflecting criticism with the protagonist while legitimate grievances go unnoticed.
Granted, I don't know why Mafia fans had any hope of their series surviving unraped, it's not like II was anywhere near as good as the first.
Fuck all of these racist idiots.
The main problem is this looks like a joke compared tot he original game, and it looks like Saints Row schlock.

This dev has always missed the mark so far, and I can already see the Polygons and Kotakus of the world boosting it's metacritic a couple points for culture war reasons. Even still I bet it'll be ~86 at best, 70's at worst.
Odds are it'll be deeply flawed and pointlessly open worldy, but I'll check out some gameplay to be sure.

I'm planning to play it. I haven't seen much beyond the first initial trailer. Its total rental material after how Mafia w turned out. That was the epitome of a game that was really only good for one playthrough. Don't really care about the protagonist's race one way or another going into it. I'll reserve that judgement till after I've played it.

The game is set in Louisiana, a state that the mafia really didn't do much work in. It's premise is that the mafia betrayed the black mob, an organization that the mafia families historically didn't work with.

I fucking loved the car physics in mafia 2. It's all about the little things. Like how when you lightly hold the gas button the car will start rolling in a downhill direction.
Pretty much the same effect you get when you don't put your car in park if you don't pull the e-brake while you car is in neutral.
