Get Fallout 4

>Get Fallout 4
>Runs like garbage
>Have 960 but know CPU is garbage
>Finally upgrade CPU to i7-6700k
>Runs bf1 at 80+
>RUNS SQUAD AT 50+
>thisgunbgud.jpg
>Turn on Fallout 4
>Still runs like shit

Fuck you Bethesda. Never buying one of your games again.

you have to download a bunch of stupid mods to enhance your fps like the shadowboost thingy ma bob

Almost a year after release and you still bought it thinking it would be worth it

Fallout 4 is not an RPG.

I shouldn't have to rely on other consumers just to make my products work.

No I did something even worse: I pre-ordered it. Thought it was "okay" until I got so far and every time I took a few steps, the game would slow to a crawl. Did this with every character I made.

>Upgrade your toaster bruh lololol
Well now I did and it's still shit.

They have been using the same engine since Morrowind, 14 years ago. They just apply a new coat of paint every few years, but it is still the same shitty rundown wall underneath.

>I shouldn't have to rely on other consumers just to make my products work.
everyone knows that
it's unfortunate and very lazy of bethesda but it's the only way to play the game properly with decent framerates

not trying to justify bethesda and their shitty game, but if you want to get some good fps on fallout 4 that's how you do it

So when are we as consumers going to finally say enough to this shitty practices and just refuse to buy their products until they produce something that works out the box?

probably never? since normal fags don't give a shit about any of this, they probably didn't even notice

unless you're able to convince like a million or two casual gamers who just buy everything bethesda makes to boycott their products, probably less than one percentage chance

>960
>bought an i7
kek

It doesn't matter anyway as Bethesda makes most of their dosh from console sales. One of the reasons they've been pushing for console mods.

Well I guess I'll be on the boat alone then. Bethesda is now on the Capcom list.

>Capcom
>SE
>Activision
>Bethesda

Never buying from them again, unless there is major reconstruction in their business model.

...

You're not technically on a boat alone, there are some people who refuse to purchase from companies such as Bethesda. Just note that the ratio between your kind to casual gamers is probably like 1:500

This is so sad and pathetic. Millions of gamers who don't give a damn that they are being sold garbage.

I think I might give up altogether and just stick with meh classics. I'm getting too old for all this anyway.

it's pretty bad, but you just need to dig through the casual bait and find actually passionate game devs making games they like

My fucking laptop runs fo4 on high with 60fps

>He dislikes Fallout 4 because of the performance

Boy, do I have news for you.

Like who? I hate this indie scene and early access has almost turned me off of all of it entirely.

I plan on getting bf1 but I feel like I might regret that.

Then what the hell am I doing wrong?

Why are you doing this to me?

...

>have 750
>AMD FX-6300
>16 gigs of ram
>not the best setup, but it was only a few hundred, what can I say
>Fallout 4 runs on high at 60
What the fuck are you talking about?

you see the key to playing early access games is don't, you wait for it to get finished and then decide if you want to play it.

I've never played any FO before 3 and this pisses me right the hell off.

How could they mess up this badly?

Any chance of this running on a i7 5500u?, laptop fag here
also gtx 950m

It runs absolutely fine at the beginning. But for some reason, the longer I play, it just gets worse and worse.

No mods.

>thingy ma bob

I rarely say this but you gotta be eighteen to post on this board

That being said Fallout 4 on PS4 was hot garbage and I'm going to have to be convinced to buy another Fallout game in the future

This. I have a R9 280 and FX-6300 with 8GB RAM and I run the game pretty smoothly at 50 - 60 fps with some occasional stutters in the downtown area, but it never drops bellow 30. I have no idea what you've done to your PC, OP.

go play the originals. or at least 2.

you don't have to be eighteen to post here
i'm twenty and still posting

Kellogg shoots your wife, clutching her child, with the .44 that his mother gave him to fight off evil men. If there is one single scenario in the entire wasteland that Kellogg would object to, it would be murdering a mother for no reason other than to kidnap her baby using the same gun his mother gave him. It makes sense if the MC is female, maybe, but no sense at all if you are male.

The entire main quest line, every step of the way, holds at least one glaring contradiction. Kellogg's home in Diamond City, for example.

It's pretty easy to mess it up. Write one quest a day and have a different person pitch it to a different group of people in a different board room every day. That way, when its all put together, none of it feels cohesive. In Fallout 2 this can be forgiven somewhat because there are huge cultural shifts as it can take days, even by car, to travel the length and width of the map and come across vastly different towns with vastly different people. In Fallout 4 there's only one city and it feels like a literal themepark where nothing was given more than five minutes of thought.

>plays every other fucking game completely fine
>Only this runs like shit
>Thousands of other players lament about the same problem.
>"hurr durr, you did something to your computer OP. Definitely not the games fault"

Fuck off Todd.

I can't. It's just too outdated for me. I hate it but I just can't make myself enjoy it.

Sad thing too. I heard the lore and ingame atmosphere can't be beat.

I'm sure it's real hip with the kids to say fucking "thingy ma bob." Just behind using the words rad and tubular.

halp

just play it. stop being a bitch.

You want me to play something that I don't enjoy? Fuck, if I was to do that, I'd just slog through this mess of a "game", with it's occasional fps drops to the single digits.

I ain't playing shit if I don't like it.

>what is torrenting

Sorry but I don't torrent. I consider it stealing.

This is my beliefs. I am not judging you or anyone else. I just refuse to do it.

It's not stealing it's borrowing.

Then fuck off and go fix your issue, there's probably a solution somewhere. I'm sorry the memebuild you found on Sup Forums that you dropped 1K+ burgerbucks on isn't working.

Fallout 4 is unironically RAM intensive. Faster RAM will boost your frames significantly.

fallout 4 is a good game

Idk what your problem is, but I can still run fallout 4 at 60 fps with a mix of ultra and high settings on my GTX 770.
It occasionally drops between 60-47 fps in some cities, but even then that's still playable for me.

Upgrading your CPU wont do much.. the 960 an entry level GPU.

Google FALLOUT 4 system requirements,
You will get a list of the minimun cpu, gpu and ram needed to run the game works with any game.

ITS GOOGLE YO!

Here's the tl;dr

If sustaining 60fps is proving challenging, we have some advice for you: consider faster RAM. We ran through a series of traversal sequences using a Core i5 4690K paired with a Titan X running at 1080p - in short, a scenario designed to remove the GPU as a bottleneck and stress the CPU. We then re-ran the test with faster memory. Below you'll find our lowest and average frame-rate results from three different configurations:

1600MHz: 36.0/54.6
2133MHz: 39.0/61.0
2400MHz: 44.0/66.9

That's a 22 per cent increase in performance with faster RAM comparing the slowest to the fastest. Now, this scenario is an exaggeration as the GPU is a major limiting factor in performance and by using a Titan X at a low resolution, we have removed that bottleneck. So are there any real-life applications?

Well, click on the shot above to see that - yes - faster RAM can make a difference in general gameplay, even with Fallout 4's v-sync cap, and without an outlandish lack of balance in system components. Essentially, when the CPU is the bottleneck, faster RAM can provide an often dramatic increase in performance. However, before considering an upgrade, make sure your motherboard is compatible with faster memory. Usually this functionality is reserved for the top-end chipsets.

The 960 is a terrible GPU, that's your problem.

Your fault for buying a 960

>Kellogg shoots your wife, clutching her child, with the .44 that his mother gave him to fight off evil men.
So fucking dumb even without that little bit of backstory. There were so many things to say to calm him/her down.
"Ma'am/Sir, your child has a chance of reacting negatively to the unfreezing process you just went through. Please give him to us so we can perform a routine medical examination and you'll see him again soon."

>MFW Bethesda will use all the shit that's raping performance even on GTX 980ti in the Skyrim Remaster
I cannot wait to see it run worst than 2011 Skyrim with ENB.

>Get Fallout 4
>mediocre grafix card and cpu
>runs fine
>stop playing because it's not very good
